Today, I found out I wasn't invited to the annual family reunion. The reason? Everyone thinks I'm "creepy" because I'm the only adult who will go out and play with the kids. FML

Today, I found out that I'm the creepy uncle of the family. FML
Today, I realized the only reason I was invited to go on vacation with my extended family was so I could babysit everyone's children while the adults go out and have fun. FML
Today, I was talking to my sister-in-law on the phone. She brought up the family reunion last weekend and how my family is so strange. I didn't know there was a reunion, I wasn't invited. FML
Today, I realized I am the neighborhood pariah. I have a vaca house on a lake, and every year the neighborhood holds a Friendsgiving Party. I wasn't invited. I only found out it that it happened when I saw the Facebook photos. I have no idea why I was excluded. I must be the world's biggest a-hole. FML
Today, I was uninvited to the family Christmas party. Apparently, everyone is tired of me "refusing to watch or discipline my own kids". Sure, one of them is autistic and has violent meltdowns, but I thought it took a village to raise a child? FML
Today, I was told I'm not invited to my best friend's birthday party. Apparently, being divorced and childless doesn't "mesh" well with the rest of the group. My parents are still watching her kids so she can go away for the weekend. FML
Today, I was uninvited to a family reunion because I’m the result of my mom’s affair while she was married to her husband, who raised me as a dad for 22 years before we found out. According to my aunts, uncles, and cousins who I grew up with, it means I’m not really family anymore. FML

Today, I was uninvited from every family event henceforth, because I finally had it and told my sister that I can’t stand to be around her horribly misbehaved kids. They have screaming meltdown tantrums, throw and break things, start fights and steal. How am I the bad guy? FML
Today, my parents invited all their kids and grandkids to join them on a vacation trip to the mountains; all their kids except me, that is. I'm not invited. But they did invite my ex-husband. And his new girlfriend. FML

It's such a double standard: you're either a jerk because you don't pay any attention to the kids, or you're a creep if you actually give them affection and/or attention. Smh. I understand the media has opened our eyes to the low lives of the world, but that's ridiculous! It's a family reunion! I try to entertain the kiddos when my family's kids talk to me or ask to play. Keep your head up OP.

Good question. Also... Is that really the only reason that OP wasn't invited. I really don't see RELATIVES saying... "You have fun with the kids in the family at reunions. You're creepy."

I dont understand why anyone would thumbs down for this, its a damn good question because if even one kid is uncomfortable enough to say something, most likely a line was crossed somewhere. Children are use being forced to interact with new and different people constantly so for one to say something. . maybe the kid should be listened to. I have a brother in law who plays with the kids, cause we know he wants one right away- no issue, we love the fun. I also have an uncle in law that wants to play with the kids thats a total creep and some complaints have been registered with the elders. No one was molested but there are other things that car scar kids for life.
