Today, I finished working a week's overtime managing admin, stock, finances, and three members of staff. I realised that despite all my extra work, I actually earn less per hour than the students who only work on the weekends. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Management 101
Today, I once again got less than 20 hours of work for the entire week. My boss's solution? Double the staff. FML
Today, my boss asked me to work over the entire weekend. That would be fine if I didn't already work a 60 hour week. He also said the extra hours on the weekend wouldn't be paid. FML
Bad at maths
Today, my boss finally worked out that by not giving the lads a pay rise to £18 an hour, instead just offering them overtime when necessary, it actually cost the equivalent of raising each employees salary to £26 an hour, for a whole year. He’s is blaming me because I issue the pay checks. FML
Boss makes a pound…
Today, I sat down and worked out I get paid £26000 a year for working 40 hours a week. Meanwhile my boss gets paid £115000 to answer emails when he remembers to and to attend 5 hours of mandatory meetings a month, which he now does over video chat from his vacation cottage in Scotland. FML
Today, I found out that, because I'm a student, the employees I train make more than me. FML
The value of labor
Today, after working for over a decade at the same place, I was formally written up with two days of leave without pay for refusing to work extra overtime. I've been working over 80 hours a week for four months now and even cancelled some very important plans so I could work every day. FML
TFI Friday
Today, I started a new job. The hours are long, but I didn't mind as I could REALLY use the overtime. Turns out, they don't pay over time. I'm just expected to go "above and beyond for the company." FML
Today, my boss asked me to pick up more waitressing shifts because we are short-staffed. I already work seven days a week. FML
You do it
Today, I’m a supervisor who swore 50-hour weeks were “the minimum.” My team preferred having lives, I missed my quota, and my $10,000 bonus vanished. FML
Exploitation
Today, despite having made it clear that I'm neither interested, nor I am able to take over the jobs of the 3 members of staff who have recently left, my boss made a "Progress Plan" for me and will check on it weekly. I'm getting paid 1.5 times less than average in my role and he's not giving me a raise because the company is stingy. FML

You should speak to someone about your payment reflecting how much you work. If that doesn't work, start actively looking for a job that'll properly compensate you.

Have YOU realised that she's using the British way of spelling? Since she's, you know, in LONDON! If you were smarter I think you'd have kept your mouth shut.

Well I'm glad you achieved your life's dream and ambition. Oh, or NOT.

I can't believe that people are still doing this shit. Consider yourself lucky that you weren't actually first - Sirin would have forced you to give birth via anal delivery, or maybe you would have ended up with a gerbil-sized growth coming out of your ass. xD

Someone care to explain to me why some consider being first (when they actually are that is) such an accomplishment?! Is it "hey, waddayaknow, no comments... first!" or more like "Here it is... I've waited hours for this new FML.... yoink! first!!!1"

That's nonsense. She is in the UK not the US, but that line isn't true in the US either. Even if it was: why should she be happy when she's being exploited in a recession? That makes no ******* sense.

Your negotiating skillz suck. Bosses love to underpay workaholic pushovers like you. They get bonuses for grinding down wusses like you. Be a mañ, Arthur Pewtey, and go demand a raise!! (or a pay cut for the students, heh-heh)

Mañ?! I'm afraid I need that one explained, sir.
