Today, I finished a full marathon and just wanted to relax and get pampered by my husband afterwards. Instead, I spent the evening taking care of him and his back because he had a spasm. Don't worry, he feels much better now. Meanwhile, I can’t move my legs. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Treat Yourself Day (derogatory)
Today, I was supposed to be treating myself to a relaxing spa day, thinking it would be a great way to unwind. That was until the massage therapist somehow gave me a "reverse" massage that left me sore in places I didn’t know could get sore. I paid for this torture, and now I can’t even walk properly. FML
Today, I am exhausted and can barely move after being up all night taking care of my drunk and vomiting husband. He, on the other hand, feels much better and is bounding with energy. FML
Today, my boyfriend surprised me by offering me a foot massage to ease my sore feet after a run. I asked for a lot of pressure. Now I'm back home in a walking boot after being diagnosed with a fractured fifth metatarsal bone. FML
Enjoy yourself
Today, I woke up after a 16-hour shift, and my back is out. I worked it in order to "enjoy" my 2 days off. I can barely move. FML
Unreasonable
Today, I had to choose between being in excruciating pain and having a happy significant other by doing housework, or resting my sprained ankle and having my significant other pissed off at me because she thinks I’m milking it. She went to bed two hours ago and I can barely move it. Guess which I chose. FML
Walk it off
Today, after running a marathon, I was knackered but feeling great. I was walking to my car when I stepped on a shard of glass and had to go to the emergency room to get it removed. I ended up missing the marathon after-party and had to spend the rest of the day in the hospital. FML
Today, after a 3-month dry spell because I am recovering after having a baby, I was finally in the mood to get intimate with my husband. Foreplay was great, the sex was great until my back gave out right as I was about to cum. I can't move without intense pain. I just wanted to orgasm! FML
Stranded
Today, I tore a muscle in my back. At the hospital, I was prescribed some pain medication. My husband got me settled at home, with everything I needed within reach, and left for work. As I picked up the bottle to take the first pill, I knocked it on the floor. It rolled under the couch. FML
Leg day (and night)
Today, after a long day at work, my legs were aching by the time I got home. Tired, I tried to go to bed early. Now the only thing preventing me from sleeping is the pain in my legs. It’s 4 a.m. now and no luck. FML
Today, I went to get a nice, relaxing hot stone massage. Instead I got second degree burns on my legs. FML

In his defense your injury probably is alot lower on the severity scale. back injuries are no joke. self imposed soreness isn't so bad.

I have to say I’m impressed. Even with a back injury, he could give it to you so good you can’t walk? Playah!

Kudos on completing the run though, OP. What charity did you raise for?

Have you ever had a back spasm? They are terribly painful. Be proud of yourself though because your accomplishment is awesome.

I would rather run a marathon everyday for a week then deal with even a 10 second back spasm, their so painful

Your pain is the result of exercise and in many respects was self-inflicted, his was a back issue which can be completely debilitating and may be a sign of a more significant issue,

I'm sitting here kinda perplexed about how other people talk about a back spasm like a singular event that puts you out of commission. My back is constantly out, my spine actively shifts back and forth when I am doing stuff day to day, and I get told to suck it up... This dude has a single spasm and it's oh no! lol

Different people have different tolerances. Just because you can manage to keep going through it doesn’t mean someone else can.

Yours is a choice his is not. Once he feels better, ask him to draw you a bath.
