Today, I finally got to meet my boyfriend's parents; it turns out that his mum is my therapist. I've just spent an entire morning telling her how confused I am about my sexuality. FML

Dad jokes, part #23556
Today, I finally let my parents meet a boyfriend of mine for the first time ever. My dad mentioned how he was happy to finally meet him, because for the past 4 years he'd thought I was gay. FML
This is me
Today, I introduced my girlfriend to my parents. My mother turned to me and said, "Wait you're actually gay? I thought you were just saying that to piss off your father." I came out to her when I was 16, and have confided in her about my past relationships. FML
Denial
Today, at 18, I finally told my mom I was gay. She spent the rest of the day bringing up my "future wife" at every possible chance she had. FML
Today, I introduced my girlfriend to my family for the first time. My mother's immediate reaction was, "We didn't know you were gay!" No mom, she really is a girl. FML
Today, I wanted my boyfriend to meet my parents. My mum introduced herself as, "I'm Petra. I'm completely normal." FML
See someone
Today, my mom asked if I was seeing anyone. I launched into a description of my girlfriend, only for her to interrupt, saying that she meant a therapist, and the fact that I'd just made up a relationship was further proof that I needed one. I really do have a girlfriend. FML
Bad thought
Today, I found out that my parents have thought I'm lesbian for at least a year. I now understand why my dad has been trying to get me to "hang out" with his co-worker's daughter. FML
Today, my mom called me into the living room to say that she had something important to tell me. She then explained how she and my dad had "talked things over" and wanted me to know that they accept me and love me no matter what. Apparently my mom thinks I'm lesbian. I'm not. FML
Today, my boyfriend invited me for dinner to meet his parents. Turns out his stepmother is my gynecologist. FML
Today, I decided to introduce my girlfriend to my parents by telling them that we were gonna have a very special guest for dinner. While my mom was preparing the meal she asked, "What does he like?" I'm straight. My parents thought different. FML

Why are you carrying on with the relationship, taking it to the next level of meeting the family, if you can easily go on for an hour questioning your sexuality? It sounds like you're leading the guy on until you figure yourself out. Maybe stop seeing him, but keep seeing his mom.

maybe if you guys are that serious you should be able to talk to your boyfriend about it too

Not necessarily. She probably goes by her maiden name in her professional life.

Ever heard of divorce and remarriage? My moms last name is different from mine. She changed hers when she remarried after divorcing my dad. So, their last names don't at all have to match.

That all depends on what kind of services she would like to offer. It can get a little pricy but if you bundle, you save.

F the therapist's life, I would not want you dating my son. I've witnessed firsthand how ppl who are confused about their sexuality end up hurting others. If you're so confused then you shouldn't even be dating, you need to figure out some things about yourself first. YDI.

OP, take it from someone who struggled for years with their sexuality- break it off with this guy now. You're only going to wind up hurting yourself as well as this guy and neither of you deserve to hurt over something like this. It's difficult and scary but taking the time to figure yourself out is the best thing you'll ever do.

Hey look on the bright side, you met your boyfriend's mom before your boyfriend even introduced her to you. But still, if you're confused about your sexuality then you should get it "unconfused" before any damage is done to your boyfriend

Hope you didn't tell your therapist that your bf's mom is a total bitch or anything like that.

It has taken me years to figure out who I am and I'm still doing so. Just be open with your boyfriend. Everyone has to figure themselves out in many different ways as they grow up. Just be sure that he's aware of your personal journey/challenge and that he's supportive. I wish you luck!
