Today, I fell down the stairs while holding some dirty glasses from my room. I ended up pulling pieces of glass from my body. Meanwhile all my mom cares about is the fact that I broke three of her favorite glasses. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
How could you?
Today, I was walking down the stairs holding a glass of water, when I tripped. I don't know what hurts more, that I'm still picking glass out of my hand or that my mum is still ranting about the water I'd spilt. FML
Psycho
Today, I accidentally broke one of my mom’s favorite glasses while she was away. My dad saw and offered to tell her instead that he broke it, because, "let’s face it, if she knew it was you, she’d shove the glass shards down your fucking throat." FML
Slasher
Today, my mom bumped into a table with a glass vase on it. Seeing that the vase was about to fall, I lunged to catch it. Before I got there, the vase fell and shattered, resulting in me diving into the broken shards. FML
Jumpy
Today, my mom said my name and startled me so badly, I jumped and dropped the glass I was holding. She still isn’t speaking to me for breaking her favorite glass. FML
Agony
Today, I fell down the stairs and landed heavily on my foot. Because I wasn't crying, my mom refused to take me to the hospital. It took me an hour of agony to convince her. It turned out to be broken in three different places. FML
Today, my mom and dad were arguing. It started getting really heated, so I tried to go break it up. But within a couple of minutes, my mom wanted to make a statement by throwing a plate to the ground, forgetting I was beside her. I now have a throbbing foot with shards of glass in it. FML
Thanks, Mom
Today, I was wearing flip flops whilst putting out the trash, and was careful not to step near the broken glass surrounding the trash cans. My mother ran up to me hysterically warning me about the glass, which startled me and caused me to step on a shard, slicing my foot open. FML
Bad day for glasses
Today, I walked into the glass door of my boss’s cabin and broke my spectacles. Thank god for a backup pair, right? Wrong. I fell down the stairs and broke them too. FML
Getting a head start on the Halloween look
Today, while washing dishes for my friend, I managed to break an unbreakable glass and slice my hand open on it. FML
Pincushion
Today, I accidentally broke a vase. When I was clearing it up, I used my bare hand to sweep up the shards without thinking. I'm still fishing pieces of broken glass out of my hand. FML

She can always make another child, but glasses are hard to come by; not to mention expensive!

Sounds like something my mom would do.. But she'd be joking. Sorry that happened, I hope she wasn't serious in caring about the glasses more than you. Hope you're okay!

Ouch I hope you heal quickly! Also that you fix your glass hoarding habit, because if you ever get housemates you share crockery with they will hate you forever.

From MY mum's point of view YDI for having more than one glass in your room - had you tidied as you went you'd only be carrying one glass down stairs and be in a better position to catch yourself if you slipped. I, however, agree - your life sucks.

She's busy making another child and your breaking her favorite glasses sound like your getting kicked out on your 18th birthday

Honestly, I'm a bit biased on the moms side because of my cousins. It depends on how many dirty dishes there were and the meaning behind them being her favorite. My cousins wife kept hiding dirty dishes so she didn't have to take them down and we ended up with half to 3/4 of the dishes up there. If you are going for another dish, try to remember to take the last one down. Secondly, if they were given by family or something important I can understand her being upset. She should have made sure you were okay and helped, of course, but if it was a gift from an important time or from someone close its very understandable she'd be upset. It you don't regularly keep a lot of dishes and she just simply like the dishes, definitely FYL.

Oh, but thanks, Mom, I'm just fine after falling down the stairs and ending up with shards of glass in my body! Seriously, though, OP, maybe stop hoarding glasses in your room, especially your mom's favorites.

That is literally my mother. As long as I'm not dead, she cares about what broke more.

You had 3 or more dirty glasses in your room at one time? YDI at least a little for not cleaning up after yourself more frequently. Unless you recently had guests in your room, and then your mother is the only one to blame.
