Today, I failed my trigonometry exam because my scientific calculator was on the wrong setting. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I have a final for my precalculus class. After hours of studying this week, I felt pretty optimistic. Until I got to class and realized that I'd forgotten my calculator. FML
Today, I cheated on my math exam. I still failed. FML
Today, a few people in my class used calculators on the math final exam, even though it clearly stated at the top that they weren't allowed. The teacher found out, and now everyone has to retake the 200-question exam. I didn't even use a calculator. FML
Today, I had the worst day of my life. I'd studied science for the whole damn night, only to realize the next morning that it's a math exam. FML
70% less brain power
Today, I had a very hard and long exam and I was completely prepared for it. I was so confident in my abilities and I'd studied really hard. When I entered the exam hall and took the paper, I realized that I had forgotten to bring my calculator. FML
Today, I reached my exam center late after taking the wrong metro twice, only to find out that I forgot my calculator at home. FML
Today, I missed points on a math quiz because I thought 2 times 5 was 20. I'm a math major. FML
Shut down
Today, I finished an exam in physics class. It counts for 40% of our grade. As I handed my paper in to my teacher, she said to the whole class while talking about me, "You did this wrong; this isn't how you do it." FML
Who are you calling random?!
Today, I failed a calculus exam because I simply was too burnt out to study for it. I have not wanted to even look at a math problem since the beginning of the year, and I procrastinate all day instead of doing work, and it leads me here, typing at 2 a.m. to random strangers while having to get up tomorrow at 7. FML
Time wasting
Today, after having spent all of last night studying for an algebra test, I find out that the test was on a completely different chapter of my textbook. FML

You had it set to "radian" when you wanted "degree" am I right?

this is why we check it before. My teacher always made us check because on our final/regents he wasn't allowed to remind us to.

Clearly you didn't learn anything, because you never notices the answers were way off.

If it was radians instead of degrees, which is the most likely case (a lot of scientific calculators default to radians whereas most early math classes work in degrees) then the answers are RADically different, to the point where someone who was paying any attention really should have noticed ie sin(30)=-0.988 in radians and .5 in degrees.

Well look on the bright side. I bet you won't forget next year, when you're retaking Trig.

If you can't tell the difference between degrees and radians you deserve to fail.

I almost failed my calculus test yesterday because I had it in degrees not radians.

next time check to see if it's in radians or degrees it isn't that hard.,.,,,

Ah well, at least you won't ever make that mistake again. However, it usually becomes fairly obvious if it's the wrong way around, and even if you don't notice after one set of odd answers to a question, didn't you twig on the second or third question?
