Today, I corrected my mom in front of our family while she was ragging on my 12 year old cousin who got a piercing. She said, "You don't understand you don't have kids, but on the other hand you probably never will!" I have Polycystic ovary syndrome, she is right, I probably never will. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Support system
Today, I was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries and confided in my mom, after being told I would have trouble having kids. Five minutes later, I hear the whole family laughing about it downstairs. FML
Today, in front of the entire family, I yelled at my mom and told her she wasn't a good parent. She responded with, "Well, at least I had friends when I was your age." FML
Today, my mother accused me of getting another lip piercing done on the sly to spite her. She finally realised I have more than one and won't believe I've always had two. Thanks for noticing, mom. FML
Devil parents
Today, my mother-in-law said: "People who don't have kids are children of the devil." I'm infertile, she knows this. FML
Revelations
Today, I told my mom I was thinking of having a baby. She told me it was a huge mistake because children cost a fortune, make you miserable, and if she'd had her chance again she would have gotten her tubes tied when she was 18 and saved herself the grief. Gee, thanks mom. FML
Today, I asked my mum why she never had any children after me. She scoffed and asked if I've looked in a mirror lately. FML
Sensitive
Today, my mom had to go off on my grandmother because I don’t have kids yet and she, "wants great grand babies before she dies." My grandmother was going to gift me a baby outfit for me to get another hint. I’m 25 and can’t conceive because of health issues. I may never have my own kids. She knows. FML
Under pressure
Today, my mom asked me out of the blue if I was ever going to consider getting married. It wasn't until after the conversation ended that I remembered my siblings are all either single like I am, or incapable of having children. I am my mother's last hope of becoming a grandma, and she reminds me all the time. FML
Supportive
Today, once again, my mom ranted about how she sacrificed so much for me by moving to a better city. I said it was for my education and to stop making me feel like a burden. She scoffed, "Right, you never should've been born. My mistake." FML
Vessels
Today, my mom bitched me out for still being single at age 19, and still not having started a family. She considers this "immoral," yet showed nothing but praise for my sister, who's pregnant at 15 and doesn't know which of three guys is the father. FML

Your mom is a bitch. One of my old friends has Polycystic Ovary syndrome. I'm sorry to hear that you have it too =(

Pretty cheap shot your mom took. She probably doesn't hold out much hope of you having her grandkids but still that was dirty pool to pull that on you. You still have a chance to prove her wrong. If you do ever have a child, don't let your mom hold her. She doesn't deserve to.

Are you a woman? If so, do you have PCOS? Do you know how it feels to be told by an endocrinologist that you will like never have your own children while only thirteen years of age? Do you know how it feels to feel defective and useless? Do you know how it feels to have to be on birth control for years on end only because you won't get your period otherwise? These things don't obey logic. I can adopt too but that doesn't mean I don't feel like a defective husk because I'm nearly infertile. Don't you even try to rationalize what that feels like, because you can't, and you could never imagine how bad it can get unless you live it everyday. Some people can still conceive naturally with PCOS, but some have a hell of a time and often miscarry. Not to mention the fact that IVF costs quite a bit and can be an emotionally-trying process.

Maybe it's your mindset, or being a woman but I'm a man and if I found out I was infertile I'd probably throw a party to celebrate. Wait........If you can't have kids anyway why the hell would you want your period? IMHO if you feel like a "defective husk" because if you do want children you don't have the option of pushing them out of your vag you really need help, a lot of help.

I always said I never wanted to have kids but when I found out I had PCOS and all of the awesome problems that go along with it, I cried. I felt defective and less of a woman because of it. It's a very common way to feel when a woman is diagnosed with PCOS. Stop being so insensitive.

It's not that we'd necessarily WANT our period, but that's it's really unhealthy do go years without ever having one.

your mom's a bitch...and that is really low, and my parents always used to tell me how much money I was costing them for my phsycologist visits...when i was like 10....but i'm telling you this because if you milk it now for shit you want, a year from now when you have gotten over it, you will appreciate the ipod. your mom's a bitch by the way, and i'm so sorry that happened. and your mom's a bitch, i really can't say that enough.

I have PCOS and I'm 8 weeks pregnant so she doesn't know what she's talking about!

That was quite uncalled for, even if she is correct in that you may not quite understand her point of view.

I'm not gonna go so far as soon as to say you deserve it, but I'm not going to say FYL just because your mom said that. I mean...it's true. As people have said above it's possible to have kids, but it's hard. It's not like she said something untrue about you though. Maybe you took it more harsh than she meant it? Or maybe she's a blunt person by nature. I dunno, but I think you're being a bit dramatic.

Hey, why not adopt! Why is it sooooo important that you have to make a little genetic copy of yourself? Hmmmm? How selfish! Wanting to add to the strain of the world by making another child because all those children in the adoption agency aren't good enough, because only something that sprouts from your vag is worthy!
