Today, I came home from work, took off my shoes and laid in bed. I turned around just in time to see my dog chewing up my only pair of shoes. I work tomorrow with no shoes. Fml

Maybe it's the family's dog and OP just called it theirs? And dogs don't cost too much, once you get past all the shots and adoption fees, it's only about $100 a year for normal checkups, and maybe $20 a month for food.

If you cant affort shoes, you sure as hell cant afford a dog. I dont see why people dont get this, dogs cost a lot of money.

I said the government must be doing a shit job of it, since he's been drinking the stuff longer than I've been alive and is still married to a woman. He punched me so hard, my vision blacked out. Today, I heard my husband say from outside, "Seriously Dan, what could go wrong?" This was followed a few seconds later by a bang and screaming. Turns out he'd tried to smash his head through a wooden plank like a martial artist and failed. He ended up with splinters and a concussion. FML

Today, my husband threw away the cast iron skillet my family has cooked with for generations because it had some specks of rust that were perfectly fixable. My 5th great-grandfather had that skillet in 1890 when he was a chuck wagon driver for the cowboys during their cattle drives. FML
