My new house
Today, I bought my first house, blowing nearly all my savings on the deposit. I had left myself enough for just a couple of necessary bits of furniture. It turns out the previous owner completely stripped the house when he left, taking the oven and even the toilet with him, amongst other things. FML

Today, I signed the lease for a flat that a mate and I decided to move into. About five minutes after leaving the renting agency, I received a text from my mate saying he couldn't move in with me after all. I am now the happy tenant of a large inner city flat that I can't afford. FML

I live in Ireland, and I'm pretty sick of it. When you see Irish shops for tourists and stuff packed with "Kiss me I'm Irish" t shirts, it just makes you resent it.

same thing with new York and their "I <3 NY" tees and any other tourist place in the world. people like to travel to your home country. deal with it or live in a hole? no one wants a "kiss me, I'm a hole dweller" shirt anyhow.
