Today, I asked my teacher how old he was, and jokingly I said, "50?" Then he chuckled, so I laughed and said, "I was kidding… 42, 43, 44?" He then looked at me and said, "Are you trying to guess my age, or your grade percent in this class?" FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today in class I accidentally called my teacher very old and almost dead. As we were discussing a book I said that the book character is very old and close to death since it fitted to the context. Turns out this character is one year younger than my teacher and she wasn't amused. FML
The topic at hand
Today, I got stuck in a group project with three other people who spent the whole period trying to figure out how old the teacher was. Good news: They came to the conclusion that he must be around 35-40 years old. Bad news: we are gonna have a hard time finishing this project if they don't pull their weight. FML
Childlike
Today, I told my brother a story about something I did a couple weeks ago. When I'd finished, he laughed and asked, "What grade were you in when you did that?" I'm 45 years-old and I haven't been in any "grade" since I was 17. FML
This charming man
Today, I was in the store when a man started chatting me up. He was good looking and charming. He asked, “So, what are you, 22-23?” I saw him visibly recoil in disgust when I told him my real age. I’m only 35, he was about 50, but he acted like he couldn’t runaway fast enough. FML
Timeless
Today, while I was in a bathroom stall, I overheard my younger coworkers discussing my age. They said, “How old is she? Some days she looks like she's 35 and other days she looks like she's 58!” FML
Disk horse
Today, my professor asked me a question in class. Thinking it was a rhetorical question, I shrugged and said, "Google it." It wasn't. He stared at me in silence for the longest 10 seconds of my life. FML
Today, in calculus, our substitute teacher told me I was smart. Everybody in the class, including my friends, burst out laughing. FML
Read the room
Today, I was teaching and a boy sitting in front kept laughing and smiling, even after I asked him to cut it out. I got so annoyed that I jokingly said I'd knock his teeth out, and asked him to leave the class. The kid went to the principal and told him I intended to hurt him. I'm a college professor. FML
Shorty
Today, I was mistaken for an 8th grader because of my height. I'm 32 years-old. FML
My bad
Today, I found out I got a 97 on my physics final exam. I was curious about the question I missed, so I went up to my teacher and asked. He was very confused and checked my grade again before telling me, "Oh my bad, it was meant to be a 79." FML

good indeed. maybe it'll get the OP to start studying. or at least not disrupt class when others are trying to learn. (if class was happening right then)

You can't even chirp a teacher back or you'll get in trouble
incoherentrmblr 22
He's old as sh**, probably somewhere in his late 90s...

I can't decide if this is an FML or YDI 0_o
zBLAKEz 23
Both. ._.

Why on earth would you ask your teacher that??!! Its a ydi all the way, asking the teacher his or her age doesnt benefit op at all (or anyway i can imagine) so they should have realized that its an uncomfortable topics for a lot of people.

I've asked my teachers how old they are, before. It doesn't benefit me but sometimes it is just cool to know. I have one teacher who looks 20 but is 41, so when we found out we were like: WOAAAAAHHHH for a while.

Then vote both or sway toward the one with more votes...
vreid 20
Teachers like jokes more if you're doing better in the class, hopefully you don't have an F OP.
thecman25 14
Well anything below 50 would probably be an F so....
vreid 20
The teacher can joke as well so...
Dreamsorrow93 24
I don't study so I'd say he is pretty young 23....
rbubbles 20
How did you even come up with that?
feven 32
If you're saying you have a 23% in a class I suggest you DO start studying... Lol especially if you're in college
Dreamsorrow93 24
I was joking. I don't study for real though and i maintain a B in all classes in my university. I have a photogenic memory.
Googolman 29
If you really did have a photographic memory, you would probably know that "photogenic" memory is misnomer.

^ get rekt
Patriots21 14
if you actually had a photogenic memory, you wouldn't be a B student ...
Nathan_h24 17
Or know the difference between photogenic and photographic^

I see what you did, there, 30. Gave me a giggle.
cakefete2 31
That teacher taught you better than to call him "old" again.
feven 32
You kind of were asking for that one

YDI, didn't anyone ever tell you it's rude to ask someone their age??
