Today, for karaoke, I sang American Woman by Lenny Kravitz. The entire audience cracked up laughing and at least three people pulled out their cell phones to record my performance. At the end, the DJ said, "Looks like someone had too much tonight." I was completely sober. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Turn around, Bright Eyes
Today, I was at a karaoke bar. After a few drinks, I gave it a go. Halfway through “Total Eclipse of the Heart” I got so into it, I knocked over the mic stand. The mic flew off, hit the DJ, who then hit the emergency stop button, cutting off the music. I froze as the bar erupted into laughter. I did get a free Coke for my “performance,” which was something. FML
I got heels, they’re made of plywood
Today, I was at a friend's birthday party in a packed karaoke bar/restaurant and I drunkenly agreed to sing. I picked a song I thought I knew by heart, only to realize halfway through that the lyrics on the screen were not at all what I thought they were. My brain went for a smoke break or something, and I turned into a rambling mess. The crowd actually booed. FML
Karaoke night
Today, I went to a karaoke bar that my girlfriend works at. I'm a halfway decent singer, so I picked out a song we both liked and decided to give it a go. Halfway through the song I sneezed, tripped, fell off the stage and knocked myself out in front of my girlfriend and fifty bar patrons. FML
Today, I went to a karaoke bar for the first time. I'd never sung in front of others, but I gave it a try. I was accused of being way too drunk and was asked to leave. I didn't get kicked out in the end, but I was told that my singing voice sounds like a dying goat. FML
Today, my friend and I went to a club. She said I look hilarious when I dance drunk. I was completely sober. FML
Name that tune!
Today, I signed up for karaoke at a bar, thinking I’d picked a fun, easy song. When it started playing, I realized I'd unknowingly chosen the eight-minute extended remix with two full guitar solos. I had to awkwardly sway on stage for five minutes while everyone drank their beers silently. FML
Very brave
Today, I gathered the courage to sing karaoke after saying no for years. The lyrics screen froze halfway through the song, and everyone expected me to keep going from memory since I picked it. It turns out I only knew the chorus. I hummed for an entire verse as bemused strangers politely clapped along. FML
Today, I worked up the courage to sing at an open mic night. I lost my cool halfway through because all I could hear was laughter. FML
Excuses, excuses
Today, I arse-dialled my ex while drunkenly singing karaoke at a bar. She picked up just in time to hear me belting out a heartfelt rendition of "I Will Survive." I don't think she bought my "pocket dial" excuse. FML
Today, I was singing and playing keyboards with my band on stage at a club. A drunken chick from the crowd tried to climb up onto the stage in her heels, fell, and grabbed the back of my mic stand to catch herself. And busted me in the mouth with my own microphone. Then she requested a song. FML

Supposed adults don't know the difference between "to", "too", and "two", or "they're" and "their" and "there". Apart from not knowing how to sing, you also don't know how to spell

He did use the wrong "to" but "their" was right... That sucks though

Supposed adults try to be immature by posting that supposed adults can't spell. If you can read what it says, the STFU. You put the **** in Homonym.

I'm a voice teacher and I have seen firsthand how people who seem absolutely tone-deaf can improve to the point where people are seriously cheering them on when they take the mic. I'm talking thin, reedy, nasal, horribly out of tune voice, going to a lovely smooth tone and singing karaoke in tune within the space of three years' hard work. One of the main difficulties with singing is you can never hear yourself as others hear you. It will take a lot of work to get from where you are to being a competent, confident singer, and I'm not promising you you'll be a rock god or an opera star, but if you love it, get a singing teacher or at least trusted friend who has studied voice for a long time, and start working with them. You'll need to practice hard and believe in yourself, but if you truly love singing, it is worth it.
