Today, at Church, the little boy sitting behind me asked his mother if I had the chicken pox, because there were red dots all over my face. I've had bad acne since I was twelve. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I was talking to my parents when all of a sudden my dad started freaking out and asking my mom how I got this really bad allergy on my face. My mom just laughed, and then I had to explain to him that it was just my acne. The worst part is that he was dead serious the whole time. FML
Today, a little girl pointed to the acne on my face and said to her dad, "Look at how many mosquito bites she has on her face!" FML
Today, I thought my face was breaking out with pimples, and I thought it was weird because I never break out. And I noticed all these "bug bites" all over my body. When I got home, I realized those weren't bug bites. I have chicken pox, and my high school graduation is tomorrow. FML
Today, I woke up to my five year old son picking off the scabs from his chicken pox and dropping them into my open mouth as I slept. FML
Today, while looking in the mirror at my full-blown grease-spewing acne-riddled face, my father came up behind me and said, "Don't worry son, I had acne like that when I was your age". I replied, "No you didn't", and his immediate response while laughing was, "No, I didn't." FML
Today, at school, I was scheduled to give a presentation to my class. As I arrived, my teacher said to me, "You're bleeding from the 120th pimple on your left cheek." FML
Today, thanks to puberty, I have an acne rash around my mouth. Rumors are already flying around school saying I have herpes. FML
Today, I noticed that my acne has gotten so bad, I can see it out of my peripheral vision. FML
Today, four days before Christmas, I discovered a rash on my daughter's shoulder. The doctor took one look and said, "It's chicken pox. Merry Christmas." FML
Today, I finally went to the doctor's office to have a small patch of acne on my stomach looked at. Since it was in an almost perfect circle and abnormally sensitive, I was worried it could be ringworm or some other sort of skin infection. It turned out to be an infection alright. Herpes. FML

A kid told me to my face I was ugly because I had all these red dots on my face that were "definitely NOT freckles" -- I went on Accutane shortly after that (because my acne was HORRIBLE) and it worked wonders. I'm so sorry you had to deal with cruel children too :(

you can go to a good dermatologist and get help. My friend had horrid acne and he got help. Worst things that can happen the acne.

#8, the child is not cruel, just uninformed. It's possible for a child to be cruel about this, but here that is clearly not the case.

I honestly can't. I don't to have an acne problem, so I'm not sure how to deal with it when I do break out in the future.

I've had terrible acne since I was 11 and i've had people who are my age, younger, and even older make fun of me, but don't let it get you down. Kid's are just curious and uninformed, while some older people are just ignorant & immature. The best thing you can do is try to see a dermatologist, if you can't then ask your doctor what they recommend or just keep trying different products. Just remember that it takes time for the product to work, it doesn't work overnight and don't give up. I've been trying to get rid of my acne for about 5 years now and I still have it. Don't give up and don't let the comments get to you.
