Today, after months of trying to convince my violent bipolar antisocial neighbors to crack a window when they smoke pot, I'm now living without any heat to avoid being blasted by pot smoke from the heat vents day and night. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Sax appeal
Today, I left my window open while practicing the saxophone. My drunk neighbours showed their appreciation for the music with a well-aimed firecracker that set my mattress on fire. My landlord has threatened to evict me as she thinks I set it off. FML
Close shave
Today, my mom got a new furnace put in because they found out the old one was leaking carbon monoxide. This is six months after I got kicked out because I was sleeping too much, so my mom thought I was using drugs. FML
I know that smell
Today, I had to call the cops at 10:30 at night because of the meth smoke from my neighbor burning my nostrils, with a heavy waft of cigarette covering it up. They never smoke cigarettes, except as a less-than-average way to cover up the drugs that I can pinpoint after being at two different shelters in Denver and Boulder. FML
Let me gooooo!
Today, my request to move apartments was once again denied. My next door neighbor’s constant marijuana smoke wafts over every day, and the woman upstairs is pregnant with her sixth child. It’s like a herd of elephants living above me. They won’t let me out of my lease unless I pay a huge amount. FML
Pyrotechnics
Today, after I told my roommate last week she needed to find a new place to live because I thought she was psychotic, she set my house on fire. FML
Fall vibes
Today, I slept on the couch last night. Not because of an angry significant other, but because my bedroom was absolutely freezing, thanks to the wind. It was like a giant freezer. Even fully cocooning myself in blankets with a sweater on didn't work. I should get a space heater. FML
Today, my roommates gathered together to tell me that they all took turns spitting in my drinks in the fridge, all because I told on them for smoking pot in the apartment. FML
Mr Heckles
Today, my neighbors in the apartment above me yet again had a loud fight, well past midnight while I was trying to sleep. I stood on my bed and pounded on the ceiling to shut them up. And now I'll have to explain the two fist-shaped holes in the ceiling to my landlord. FML
Today, my thundercunt of a neighbor, who's hated me since I moved in, called the cops on me. He told them he saw me shooting up on drugs. I'm diabetic and was injecting insulin, which he could only have seen by spying on me through my living room window. FML
My kingdom for some peace and quiet!
Today, I can at last cool off the house by opening my windows after one week of heatwave. Unfortunately, some asshat working for the city decided to repair the street, or rather bang bang bang on the pavement, right in front of them. From 10 pm to 6 am. Every night. For a week. They won't stop. FML

You should totally report them.

Report them if it isn't legal where they live (but be aware that they very well may take any resulting anger out on you- bipolar people aren't rations when they get very manic or very depressed, especially someone that is self medicating) and in the meal time try to find a cheap room heater that recirculates the air in a closed room.

Maybe don't amateur diagnose and talk crappy about people with a medical issue?
GhostFox 34
Uh. I'm talking from living with two bipolar people my entire life, one of whom refused to medicate, having to deal with five bipolar relatives for fifteen years, plus ten years of dealing with a bipolar neighbor slash renter that refuses to medicate except with weed. Pretty ******* well versed with this situation, thanks.

Talking from living with two bipolar people full time for 20 years, one of whom was unmedicated, five unmedicated bipolar people that refused to medicate that barges in and out of the house with every cycle for fifteen years, and ten years of dealing with a bipolar renter-slash-neighbor who self medicated with marijuana. Pretty ******* well versed with bipolar people at this point, enough to know it's a valid concern after the unmedicated bipolar person I lived with beat the hell out of me on three separate occasions because he was manic.

Talk to the landlord. If he's no help, move - this can't turn out well.

Because everyone can break their lease, thus giving up their deposit, and move without a care in the world

Some people own houses too. Not as easy to just up and move.

Stop being a pussy. Weed is God's gift to the world.

First off- putting someone in a position where they have no choice but to be exposed to a drug in a way that means it can get into their system, is not okay. Again, non-consensual drug exposure is NOT okay. Second off- considering that OP could show as positive on a drug test from repeated exposure and LOSE THEIR JOB, they aren't being "a pussy." They are being responsible, as well as rationally upset that their neighbor is making them choose between courting hypothermia and drug exposure. In other words, they are using their brain, the organ that seems to be non-functional for you.

How about we don't assume someone has a mental illness just because they're a jerk?

Maybe don't assume that he's assuming, he could know it for a fact. Why are there so many Internet justice seekers just looking for something to complain about?

Crude and rude--mistaken beliefs that they're some sort of white knight to the oppressed.

Lefties.

Years ago I had an upstairs neighbor who chain smoked when home from work and weekends were a nightmare. I ended up taking downey fabric softener sheets and using a glue gun to glue the sheets over my vents that expelled air. Whenever I ran the heat or air after the modification, it smelled like fabric softener. Maybe give that shot.

Must not be por they're smoking if they're being bipolar and antisocial.

Are you kidding? Aside from all your things smelling like pot, FREE POT.
TaoShaman 24
Also, free losing their job for smelling like drugs and testing postive for something that isn't their fault. But, free drugs are completely worth losing your job and probably home, right? Some people also have respiratory problems that could make that very dangerous.
