Today, after 8 years in exceptionally difficult veterinarian classes which put me $200,000 in debt, and 7 months of job searching, I finally got a job. I will be inspecting feces for worms while making minimum wage. FML

Today, I finally got a job after months of searching due to Covid. The bad news? It's cleaning dog kennels. I have an extreme fear of animal poop. FML
Today, after spending thousands of dollars and several years pursuing a higher education so I could get a high paying job doing something that requires skill and brainpower, I finally got my first job offer after months of searching. I will be cleaning houses. FML
Today, I started my dream job of being a veterinarian. My first day consisted of having to put down 12 dogs and 5 cats. FML
Today, I happily went to an interview after job searching for months. I learned a large part of my job would be cleaning the toilets. Every. Single. Hour. I used to lecture at a university until budget cuts happened. FML
Today, after 10 years in practice as a veterinarian, I began an internship in hopes of becoming a surgeon. The other intern/roommate never came, so we worked extra but don’t make enough to pay rent and buy groceries. We talked to HR about it and they give us a list of food banks. We work for a university. FML
Today, after six years, two raises, and a promotion, thanks to student loans I make less disposable income than I did when I first started this job. FML
Today, at my minimum wage job, we received a half-way decomposed dog found in a lake. It was my job to tear open the bag and try to identify the breed and color. It would've been easier if the body wasn't crawling with maggots. FML
Today, I was fired from my local animal shelter. I was a volunteer and am currently in school for veterinary technology. My education made the paid staff at the shelter feel threatened. FML
Today, I had to hunt down and collect a stray dog's feces for my parasitology class. FML
Today, after spending about 5 years to go back to school, get my life together and get a real job, I now make about $100 less a month. I used to work as a dishwasher. FML

Its funny really, most of the richest people in the world only have a high school diploma or less. Meanwhile, other people like OP spend damn near their whole life getting an education to better themselve && get a good paying job (sonetimes) only to spend the rest of their lives paying it back.

This isn't uncommon for a student to ride on mom and dad + high dollar student loans to avoid the oh so awful prospect of having to work for a living, thinking that they'll come out of college with a 6 figure income and a company lamborghini and never have to work for a living. NEWS FLASH Everybody has to work for a living. I'm going to figure that the OP spent all of their academic down time partying it up and laughing at all the "losers" who took summer jobs and filled up their resume, and with absolutely no resume of their own found out the hard way that there is no short cut.
