Today, a girl who's in charge of a group project that I get graded on, asked if Bill Gates was a Founding Father. She was totally serious. I'm screwed. FML

He is a founding father....of Microsoft

Wow. I wish she was trolling. Haha maybe you could try and let her not do that much work for the project, even though she is the leader...Wow she must be really stupid.

She is so dumb, everyone knows Bill Gates is Batman

This girl is clueless. Just "Google" the answer on your laptop and show it to her. That should clear up any misconception on her part.

Am I the only one who wishes to abolish the "No Child Left Behind Act?" I think there should be exceptions and in this FML's case, I think she needed to be left behind for her own good.

Maybe she was thinking about National Treasure, where the main character is Benjamin Gates. That's my guess

Someone needs to brush up on their American History... :/. GL OP.

you could call him a founding father of the modern age, but no, definitely not an American founding father. I suck at american history, it's pretty common for nationals to know more about the history of other countries better than their own.

If it makes you feel any better, the smartest kid in my class thought that China was in Europe.

One reason why group projects suck.

A while ago, I was in a group with this guy for a history project that was worth a large percentage of our final grade. Within the first few moments of working, he turns to me and asks "John F Kennedy was president right before Obama, right?" He didn't take my word for it either, because then he started asking nearby groups if "JFK was 43?"

She probably meant Ben Franklin
