Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, my boyfriend asked me to pick up a few things from the store for him while he was at work. After picking up everything he asked for, I wasn't left with much money so I used $50 from my account. When he got home he then grumbled about me spending all of "his" money. FML
Today, my boyfriend got mad at me because I wouldn't use $5,000 to build him a new gaming computer with my surrogate compensation, even though he basically refuses to get a job. FML
Today, I spent some of my pay on a birthday gift for my wife. She found out about the money going missing from our account, and now she thinks I'm having an affair. I work 24/7 and barely have time to see my friends, let alone have an affair. FML
Today, I found out that my girlfriend of almost 6 years has put me in debt over $33,000. FML
Today, my yearly bonus finally hit my bank account while I was busy at work. Hurrah! Unfortunately, I'm married, so by the time I got a second of free time to check my phone, my email was full of my wife's online shopping receipts, including a non-refundable cruise. I wish we could save money… FML
Today, my wife is pissed I bought a $600 drill set on sale for only $200, because the one I had wasn't strong enough for the job i just started at. Yet the $300 I just spent for her to go to a concert isn't even in a the equation. FML
Today, my husband told me he wants a $600 birthday gift. He doesn't understand why I said that wasn't happening, and is now mad at me. Not only can we not afford that, he only spent less than $10 on my birthday gift last month. FML
Today, I found out my husband spent us into overdraft charges through compulsive online shopping. Again. FML
Today, my fiancé and I had a fight over household expenses. He's never had a job in his life, but this didn't stop him demanding that I get another full-time job to pay for video games and beer. FML
Today, I got mad at my wife for giving her male coworker a ride home. I know nothing went on with them because I tracked her phone, I’m mad that he offered her a job in the business he’s starting, because she’ll be making a LOT more money than me. FML

I work nights, so I bought a sleep mask, so I sleep better in the day.

We don't know what you spent it on. If you bought a virtual blow-job on OnlyFans, she'd have every right!

It often comes down to what you spent it on. I am an electronic engineer and collect antique radios. My wife is sometimes not happy if I buy electronic parts online if the packages come too often. But she loves clothes and accessories - If I buy shirts or jeans or something like that she’s fine with it even if it costs more than the box of parts I got the day before… And it goes without saying that if you are patronizing an “OnlyFans” or related account, it’s not the $10 you partner is upset about.

Simple. Get out while you can.

Something it took me far too long to learn, whatever they say they are mad at you for is rarely the root of the actual issue. Though I imagine if you're married you already know what this is really about.

I she does not come from money, there is a good chance it is an ingrained way of thinking. I make a little less that that and every dollar I spend tends to have regrets, even if it makes no real financial impact. I do the math at the grocery store or when I buy things, looking to save 50c. because I grew up where every purchase was a question, and I bought my own things with the little money I made from my paper route, and we were alright financially, just a hard to shake mindset.

do you normally have a problem with spending even small amounts when your low on funds? have you up until this point not been able to pay your bills comfortably or so you have debts? that's probably why. you just started making the money.
