Today, I had a job interview. I didn't have any clothes suitable for the interview, so I went to the store early and bought some there. After the interview, I went to return the clothes, because they were so expensive. The hiring manager saw me. FML

Today, I was kicked out of a job interview at a clothing store for "not dressing appropriately" for the occasion. I'd purchased my outfit from the same store just two days prior with my last $100. FML
Today, I had my first interview after weeks of applying everywhere, but I got turned away for being "inappropriately dressed" for the interview. I was wearing the smartest clothes I own. FML
Today, my friends gave me a complete makeover, which included clothes from their wardrobe, to prepare me for an upcoming job interview. I was then declined the position, because apparently, I "looked too wealthy" to need the job. FML
Today, I spent a hundred dollars on new "business casual" clothes and took two hours to get ready for my interview with a government agency. My interviewer was blind. FML
Today, I went for a job interview I scheduled 3 weeks ago. I spent $200 on a new suit to really impress them and practised like crazy every imaginable question they could ask. They already had filled the position 2 weeks ago and forgot to inform me. FML
Today, I overheard the interviewer discussing my appearance with his colleague. I’ll admit my shirt didn’t exactly fit and my shoes were in bad shape, but I’m so broke that this is all I could afford at the thrift store. I’d have better clothes if my getting a job didn’t require me having nice clothes. FML
Today, I went into a store for an interview. I've had several places wanting to talk to me and this job was a lot lower paying. I got a little cocky and when offered the job, I said I wanted some time to finish my other interviews first and see what my options were. The manager then took back his offer. FML
Today, I was late for a job interview so I got a taxi to get there. Then the driver got lost and ended up taking me to the wrong address. By the time I got to the right location, I was 20 minutes late and had sweat stains on my shirt. To make matters worse, the interviewer was my ex who I had a messy breakup with. FML
Today, I finally got an interview at a restaurant after looking for a job for three months. I dressed nice, and the interview was going well until this blonde girl in booty shorts and fishnets walked in. The manager hired her on the spot. FML
Today, I woke up early for a job interview. I got lost and arrived an hour late, only to find out it was the wrong day. FML

Why wouldn't you go to a different store to buy the clothes? Or at least at a different day to return them?

I think people misunderstood the OP - when he said "the store", he didn't necessarily mean the SAME place he was interviewing at...

The only reason I can see OP doing this is to show that they support and wear the brand from the store they're applying. Still, why wouldn't you buy from a different location!?

None of the decisions made were intelligent ones. Why return the clothes IMMEDIATELY after the interview? Chances are the hiring manager is going to be at the front of the store bringing in the next interviewees, so of course they're going to see you returning the clothes. At least wait a couple days, or better yet, go to a different store where there's no risk of being seen. YDI.
