Today, my dad and his new wife got their wedding pictures done. Out of over 150 pictures, I was only in one. The family dog was in all of them. In the one picture of me, I was holding the dog's leash while he took a dump. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I got my nails, hair, and makeup professionally done for prom. My dad got his camera out, and I presumed he was taking pictures of my date and me. When I looked at the pictures later, they were all of the dog. FML
Today, my parents told me they wouldn't be able to afford my senior portraits. That was fine with me, until I found some expensive professional photos in the mail. Of our dog. FML
Today, I got my wedding photos back. The only decent picture of my husband and me together also featured a fat guy in a crop top behind us. FML
Today, I realized that there are more framed pictures of my mom's dog than pictures of me around the house. FML
Today, I noticed my parents replaced my senior picture that hung on our living room wall with a painted one. Of our German Shepherd. FML
Today, my mom's dog bit my dad's girlfriend in the face. At my wedding. We did not know she was bringing her dog. FML
Today, I was perusing my mom's Facebook when I noticed that she has an album of pictures for each member of the family. All except me. Even the dog has his own album. FML
Today, I was looking through old childhood pictures for my father's funeral and I found one of our old Christmas cards. I looked at it and noticed in the background our two dogs enjoying very spirited sex. FML
Today, I got a phone call saying I was no longer a bridesmaid for a wedding in June. It's my mom's 4th wedding. I'm getting replaced by our dog. FML
Today, my dad died recently and as I was going through photos of his bucket list trip to Paris, I realised I’m not in a single damn one of the photos. Why? Because during all the big photo moments, I was the stupid bastard taking the pictures. Now I have no photos of us together on his last trip. FML

Maybe it is just me, but I don't get this FML (and the many others like it)... It is their wedding, why be upset about not being in their photos, to me it seems really selfish. Also even if it was done delibirate should one not complain about the photographer, I doubt the photos were taken with the selftimer after all.

Let me guess. You're like 32 and still living at home. it is their wedding and it's all about them. The dog will be dead in a few years and if you ever get married I am sure you can take revenge by just getting shots of your dads hands holding your hampster.

Key words being that its not you're wedding, therefore you don't necessarily need to be in more than 1 photo. Get over it.

That sucks. I went to my in-laws' place for what turned out to be birthday celebration for their dog, complete with cake and singing. My birthday was 3 days before the dog's. No one mentioned it.
