Today, my wife told me she had stopped taking her anti-depressants a month ago in hopes of increasing her non-existent sex drive. I asked her if it had helped, and was about to suggest she start taking them again for her own wellbeing. She replied with, "Anyway, I'm just not attracted to you." FML

Today, my wife is treating me like I'm the devil, all because I refused to go on medication that would kill my sex drive, just so she wouldn't have to deal with me actually wanting to make love more than once a year. FML

Today, my wife accused me of using her for sex. I'd only just admitted to her two days ago that I've been struggling to get it up to try and perform, after a hospital stay and a month of almost no sexual contact. FML

That sucks. Depression really takes away your sex drive in general, along with the ability to be physically attracted to others. It sounds like the depression talking. Maybe she should ask her doctor about trying a new therapy?

You know, when someone takes medication for a long period, the secondary effects, like a lower sex drive, take some time to wear off. You shouldn't expect your wife to be in the mood so soon. Also, stopping anti depressants is not an easy process. It takes time and patience and it might fail several times before one could successfully recover a normal life without them and some people might just not be able to. If she encounters difficulties in the process, she might just get back to her depressed state and consequently be likely to answer abruptly to your demands. I understand that her answer was very offensive, but if you love her, you'll understand and try to help her while she needs it. Good luck!
