Today, I got fired from a job that I've had for four days for being too "secretive." Apparently, I was leaning over my notebook so that my boss couldn't stand behind me and read what I was writing. The email literally said I was "being too sneaky". They were work notes. FML

Today, I got fired from my job. When I asked why, all that was said to me was, "We don't have to disclose that information, but you did nothing wrong. It's just not working out." FML
Today, I got fired from my part-time job, because I insisted on keeping my phone in my pocket and never using it, instead of putting it in locker without a lock or security camera, that anyone can go through. The manager found out by searching my locker for the past 3 weeks. Ironic. FML

Today, I was fired without warning from my job because I was not consulting my boss about things like washing dishes and throwing away garbage. Basically, I was fired for being too good at my job. FML
Today, I received a two-page letter/rant from my boss notifying me of my imminent dismissal, based on issues such as me "speaking in a suppressed voice." FML
Today, I was accused of "spying too much" on what my coworkers are writing about Covid-19 on the news site I work for. I'm one of the supervisors. FML
Today, at work I wrote up my boyfriend (whom I've been secretly dating, because I'm his supervisor) for being $40 short on his register. Our policy is to write up anyone short over $10. He got mad and told my boss we're dating, and I was instantly fired. Then I got dumped for being a "tattle-tale". FML
Today, I was telling my coworker that I was considering quitting the shady, 50-shades-of-scum business we work at. He snitched to our boss, who quickly fired me on bullshit charges of incompetence, theft, and workplace bullying. I guess I'm not getting a good reference from him. FML
Today, my boss fired me for "fooling around" on my phone. I was looking for supplies for a surprise party we are throwing him for his birthday, and I didn't want to do it on my work computer because he has access to our history. Also, this happened during my lunch break. FML
Today, I was fired. Last week, I was written up because I came in one minute late from lunch break. The week before, I was yelled at for yawning. I found out it was all a plan for my boss’s favorite employee to get promoted to my position, so they wanted a reason to terminate me. I work in an “at will” state. FML

Before you leave, put a sticky note pack in your cubicle that reads: "Since you seemed so keen on being a nosy ass, I made this note especially for you:" Then make him flip through about twenty sticky notes with arrows or "Almost there!" before he gets to: "Go **** yourself." It won't get you your job back, but you'll be laughing your way through the unemployment line.

if they were work notes, why did you have a problem with your boss reading them? They just show how hard you're working :)

I can't make a conscious effort to show someone something if I don't know they're looking at it. Supposedly the boss was standing behind me while I was talking to the trainer and leaning over the desk taking notes and that was "suspicious enough".

You can't be fired for that its wrongful termination! You need to take it up with your bosses boss via a lawyer.

Actually, in most states, you can be fired for any reason, except protected classes like religion, race, etc. So you can quit and they can fire you, and the reasons don't matter. I had a friend once fired because she got a new boss and the boss didn't like her. It happens.

It's better that you got fired after only four days. Now when you apply for another job you don't even need to tell them you ever worked there since it's such a short gap between jobs, instead of being there for a few months and having to either tell them you were fired, or lying and saying you weren't working at all. Also, you found out quick that your boss is batshit insane.

I agree. :) Just because I lean over my desk when I write doesn't mean that I have something hide. And even if I did, I'm entitled to my privacy.
