Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I realized that the cashier at the liquor store and I are already on a first-name basis. I just moved to this town a week ago. FML
Today, the girl who works at the liquor store came to where I work. She recognized me. FML
Today, I went up and spoke to someone at my local grocery store because I thought he was my neighbor. We chatted for nearly two minutes before he politely said, "I'm sorry, I have absolutely no idea who you are." I still had to finish shopping in the same aisle. FML
Today, while working as a cashier, a really cute guy came up and said, "Hi Morgan". I freaked out and asked him how he knew my name. He then replied, "You have a name tag". FML
Today, I realized that my alcoholism has gotten so bad that I rotate liquor stores so the clerks don't think bad about me. FML
Today, I bought a small bottle of liquor to share with my husband to celebrate our move. It took three hours at the store as the cashier, manager, GM, and a police officer checked my ID believing it was fake. I'm 25. FML
Today, I tried buying alcohol for the first time. I have a baby face, so I had my ID ready. The store owner admitted that my ID looked real enough, but he wouldn't believe it wasn't just an elaborate fake. He very nearly called the cops on me. FML
Today, I got a change of ID. My old ID had its corner cut off and was given a temporary paper ID. I went to a bar in another town to have some drinks. Turns out I couldn't because they couldn't use my old ID or my temporary one to let me drink, even though I'm 22. I've been there before and I work at my town's liquor store. FML
Today, someone came into the store I work at, laughed at my name on my name-tag, and left without even buying anything. FML
Today, I went to a grocery store after work, exhausted. I nodded politely at a woman who smiled at me repeatedly. I realized at checkout she thought I was someone she knew. I nodded through a full conversation without knowing who I was pretending to be. FML
Feel like sharing it with the other FML users?

Could just mean that, OP, you're attractive. I've had to card people at various jobs over the years as a manager, banker, bartender....I remembered the cute one's names. Also do not see you or your liver having the problem that many others here keep bringing up. Just tells me there's something about you that caught his eye. It's a compliment really. No worries.

Well idk about that store but (thrifty liquor, here in Shreveport la) where I work, our computers show the name on the card the computer when we swipe it., and also we are required to make sure the name on the I'd/dl matches the card. It not really a red flag man. That is unless of course, your buying a 1/2 pint or even a pint of one of the following: 1) Seagrams gin/vodka 2) crystal palace vodka/gin 3)KD 4) old thompson, If you buyin one of those on a regular basis then you got a prob. Bc typically those are what the poor people buy for one purpose only to get drunk. Whereas others who come in buy crown for example, bc it has better taste and distilled and aged more so its better on your liver.

He must be some sort of robot. That would explain why his name tag read "BoozeBot 3000".
