Today, my mom got a new puppy and named her Olivia. Which would be fine, if that wasn't the name I had been planning to give my baby, who's due in 3 weeks. Thanks mom. FML

Woah there people... First of all, to all of you who say Olivia's a 'slutty' name or a bad one ... Please. It's a gorgeous name. To me, it sounds like an elegant name. And for those who say Olivia isn't a unique name, again, puh-lease... Not EVERYONE wants to give their child a unique, sometimes weird, name. OP, I suggest you talk to your mom about it, and if she changes the pet's name, then that's great. But if not, maybe it's meant to be for you to change your daughters name. But whatever happens, I'm sure she'll have a beautiful name. :) By the way, good luck with the baby !

If you don't live with your mom, you can still name your baby Olivia. If you do live with your mom, talk to her about it

Who cares if she named the dog after our daughter... I don't see anything wrong with it, I think it's cute and it would bring a bigger bond between your daughter and her grandmothers dog.
