Today, my mom got a new puppy and named her Olivia. Which would be fine, if that wasn't the name I had been planning to give my baby, who's due in 3 weeks. Thanks mom. FML

I never told anyone except my partner the names of my two sons before they were born. I just didn't want anyone to judge me on what I picked and everyone was happy with my decisions. You don't HAVE to tell people if you don't want to, OP.

Change the puppy's name. It won't know its name too well and a child is much more important than a dog.

I don't understand why this is a FML. Olivia is a beautiful name regardless if it's shared with a fur baby. Congrats on your new baby girl!
