Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I realized my marriage makes me feel like I'm just passing time until death. FML
Today, I married the love of my life. I was ecstatic until the wedding reception, where my new husband got drunk and started crying about how he'd been "forced" into marrying me. FML
Today, all I wanted was to spend some time with my husband, since we're always very busy. He couldn't be bothered to put down his video game. Guess I'm forever alone, even in a relationship. FML
Today, my wife told me how she really felt about me, and said she didn't love me anymore. We got married last month. FML
Today, after 8 years and a house bought together, I realised I regret getting married. FML
Today, I got a letter from the state that I'm being divorced. I've never been married. FML
Today, my fiancée got married. I did not. FML
Today, my husband is so bored with speaking to me, he literally walked outside when I was mid-sentence during a conversation about how I need more attention in our relationship. We've only been married 3 months. FML
Today, I married the man of my dreams. While I was being driven to our wedding reception, I checked my Facebook. My husband had just updated his status to "Me and the bitch just got hitched." FML
Today, I realised I may need to work on my marriage when I saw my husband in public, laughing and smiling with his coworkers, then when he saw me his smile disappeared and he stood up like a tired old man to come and speak to me. FML

You either choose your spouse poorly or your spouse or you were not entirely honest and open with each other before you got married. Either way, it’s definitely not supposed to be that way… Personally I believe in living together a year before getting married so you know what it’s like living with that person before you make the big commitment… Whatever you do, do not start on having any children before you and your spouse work out the issues you have. It gets much, much messier and expensive if there are children and there is a problem with the relationship… You need to have a serious talk with your spouse but not in a hostile or accusatory way. Chances are you need to listen and to talk because there may be issues your spouse is not happy with either. If you feel the relationship may be salvageable after that see a marriage counselor, the other choice is divorce or annulment… Whatever you do, if the relationship is not salvageable, separate first before looking elsewhere for romance. Anything other than that leads to a very bad breakup.

A strategic retreat may be in order. If someone won't meet your needs, find someone else who will.
