Phoebe??

Today, while babysitting a young girl, I put on the movie Bambi, as she told me it was her favorite movie. I didn't know that her parents always skipped the scene where Bambi's mom dies. Despite my attempts to comfort her, she was still upset when her parents returned. Her mom blamed me. FML

Fall

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.

Same thing different taste

There there dear Winnipeg, Canada

Get me out of here!

Today, I hired a babysitter for my two kids for the evening. When I came home, I found her sitting on the floor, crying with a full bowl of popcorn, watching a kids' movie. Apparently, my six-year-old had decided to re-enact every scene from the movie, and she couldn’t take it anymore. I had to hug her and assure her that she was doing a great job. FML

They should've told you about the movies so don't blame yourself OP!

This reminds me of F.R.I.E.N.D.S

That's the mother's fault she knows her daughter likes to watch that movie. She should have told you ahead of time not to play that part. Fyl OP

That sucks that the mom blamed you, you were being so nice to the girl for putting her favorite movie. How could you possibly predict the parents never showed her the ending. You definitely don't deserve YDI.

How were you supposed to know OP?! By looking into your crystal ball??! That mom is a bit daft.

Don't feel bad. Her parents need a reality check. You can't raise kids by trying to shield them from everything. I mean, it's a children's cartoon for crying out loud. Death is real!

Tell the little brat and her mother to get over it. Being coddled never helped anyone.

They skipped the scene that's pretty much the reason for the whole movie?

Kid's gotta learn sometime, and her parents aren't doing her any favors! You did the right thing, OP.

If it's her favorite movie, they should have known she'd ask to watch it, and therefore known to tell you about that. Soooo not your fault!

I'm sorry... but I laughed so hard at this I swallowed my gum. That must haven't been terrible for the kid though.

You should always, always be suspicious when a child says their favorite movie is Bambi...
