Oh, hai Mark!
Today, my mom's "hobby" of rescuing homeless people became very real. We now have 3 more people living in our house, and none of them have a sense of personal space. I wake up to their faces in my windows. Thanks mom. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, my mother moved in to my 2-bedroom apartment with me. She brought her boyfriend, 4 chihuahuas, and 2 birds with her. FML
Today, my mom’s house has several comfortable places to rest in every room. For the cats and dogs, that is. Unfortunately for me, I'm a human. FML
Today, I discovered that the reason my mom hasn't been noticing the extra cleaning I've done lately is because her boyfriend took credit when she asked about it; and was rewarded for it in bed. I helped him get with my mom. FML
Today, my flatmate moved in with me. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to me, so did her mother. FML
Today, while living in Florida, I had a conversation with my mother explaining that it might be best for me to come back home. Her response, "Don't worry, they have plenty of homeless shelters down there if you need a place to stay." Thanks Mom. FML
Today, after losing my job, my apartment and my man, I had to move back in with my mom, at 37. She’s a total slob; I can’t function without clean, organized spaces. So, hey, at least I have a new full-time job now: cleaning up after her. FML
Today, I suggested to my mom that, as a thank you for me taking care of her 2 dozen animals for weeks, she might get rid of the garbage heaps that have been sitting in inconvenient places for months, and also finally repair the shower in the house I rent from her. FML
Today, my mom got a new furnace put in because they found out the old one was leaking carbon monoxide. This is six months after I got kicked out because I was sleeping too much, so my mom thought I was using drugs. FML
Today, as I was riding my bike home from school, I saw a homeless man sitting on a bench. I was about to walk up to him and give him money, but before I could do anything my mother walked up and kissed him. My mom is dating this guy. FML
Today, I came home from a week-long vacation, only to find my mother-in-law didn't just dog-sit while I was gone; she moved in, along with all her possessions, and seems to think it's a permanent deal. FML

Nice hobby. Glad to see your mom thinks of hers and her families' safety first.

Exactly. Depending on the age of the OP, Child Protective Services might need to get involved. If Mom insists on exposing her child to a dangerous situation, someone should intervene. If the OP is over 18, Mom might be doing it to get the kid out of the house!

Try beating the homeless people up, that's what I'd do...

ummmm... that's extremely awkwardddd. haha even more creepy than the crazy ladies that randomly show up at this house.... lmfao this house is like a magnet for crazy people that just randomly end up in this part of the town.

I would suggest talking to your mom about it. Tell her what's going on and calmly inform her that the local homeless shelter is always looking for volunteers. They probably are very grateful to your mother for allowing them to have a roof over their heads. Give them a chance before you start attacking your mom over it. But tell them that there are boundaries and such thing as personal space and then if that doesn't work, they're called blinds or curtains you know. Good luck though.

I'd say that I'm one of the more sympathetic people toward the homeless, but even I draw the line at bringing them into our home. It's just too dangerous, because the causes of homelessness are varied and very infrequently related to laziness (as people tend to believe). More often it's mental illness and addiction that puts folks on the street. Watch your own back, OP; it seems as though your mom is not doing it for you.

ok thats acctualy kind of disturbing! homeless people in your house? I think you really need to talk to your mum about this ( with the doors shut and locked and curtains pulled) tell her how you feel waking up to eyes on you. You could be scared or life from this!!! :P

hmm homeless people living in a house, are they still considered homeless or just found a way to beat the system? And got some peeping action. I think this is a homeless WIN!

I would've called the cops on the homeless creeps peeping through your windows.
