Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I finally told my girlfriend I love her. She corrected my grammar. FML
Today, my girlfriend confronted me for forgetting to take the trash out. At some point during the argument, I tried to calm her down, and the words "I should of" escaped my lips. She spent the next ten minutes calling me stupid and laughing at how my grammar goes to hell when I'm distressed. FML
Today, I found out my girlfriend starts fights with me over text because apparently, when I'm arguing with someone, I stop speaking in "annoying shorthand" and am grammatically correct. FML
Today, my girlfriend had an "accident" at home. She texted me about it. I tried to lightly tease her and sent a comment about her shitting her pants… to the family group chat by mistake. I'm currently writing my last will and testament. FML
Today, I had to send a picture of my Grandma at her funeral to my girlfriend, because she thought I was out cheating on her. FML
Today, I was at my grandma's funeral. While giving the eulogy, I accidentally mixed up "You will be missed" and "You won't be forgotten" and instead said "You won't be missed." FML
Today, I texted my girlfriend that I'm going to 'lick my professor's ass' instead of 'kick' due to auto-correction on my phone. FML
Today, after holing myself up in my room for the day, I eventually turned my phone back on and told my girlfriend that my grandma passed away today. She replied, "Ask me if I fucking care," then accused me of not caring about our relationship because I went offline all day. FML
Today, trying to be nice, I sent a text to my mother-in-law saying that I couldn't wait to have her delicious casserole tonight. Only after sending, I realized that "casserole" had auto corrected to "asshole". FML
Today, my girlfriend has yelled at me multiple times for saying sorry too much. It's involuntary, due to me constantly being told I never do anything right growing up by my parents. She knows this, and is even then one who helped me realize this, and still yells at me for it. FML
Feel like sharing it with the other FML users?
Thanks, your FML was submitted, and will appear in the moderation queue soon!

There's a difference between caring about grammar and being a dick about it. Learn some manners.

Grammar nazi! Do you spend time on forums perhaps? Let the "-1's" begin!
IAmzephyr 22
and so the '-1s' began

Some people just know when their comment will get down voted. Also, the forums are pretty much just grammar nazis and people with no sense of humor.

Empathy: Understanding and entering into another's feelings
ChristianH39 30
We know what empathy means, that's not why you're being down voted.
albertozeta_fml 9
Who cares about downvotes? I'd like to understand why people think that the lack of tact of OP doesn't depend on his lack of empathy.
sweetnsourrr 11
Then why did you explain what empathy mean?

Agreed. If it's a topic that sensitive, Grammar shouldn't even be an issue.

Please learn that sometimes grammar pedantry syndrome is something that just kicks in and you have no control. If you can't learn that, I sincerely hope you start having that syndrome so you know what it feels like

Her grandma is more important than her grammar, you know! It was a bit rude of you; hope your girlfriend understands you weren't trying to be a jerk...
SMHsohard 22
Given the circumstance, it was more than a bit rude, it was a dick move. I really don't think his girlfriend needs to understand anything more than that, right at this moment.

I know; I voted YDI. However, the guy was clearly aware that he was wrong. I don't think he meant to hurt her feelings.
