Today, date night with my boyfriend. I had my makeup done, fake lashes, etc. He was staring at me and I thought, "Oh, he loves how my eyes look" so I started flirting a lot, fluttering my lashes. We then took a pic and saw my lashes were falling, so I asked, ”Were they like that the whole night?” He replied, “Yeah, it looked weird.” FML

Today, while getting ready for a friend's wedding, I was curling my eyelashes. My cat decided to jump onto the towel rod. As I went to catch her, I ripped all the eyelashes out of one eye. I called my boyfriend crying. When he saw me, he laughed and said, "You look really surprised in that eye." FML
Today, I went on a date with someone I really like. Halfway through dinner, I noticed my mascara was smudging, so I tried to discreetly wipe it off with my napkin. As I looked up, my date was staring at me with wide eyes. Apparently, I had smeared it all over my face and I looked like a raccoon. He didn’t even offer to help me fix it, just smirked. FML
Today, while lying next to me, my boyfriend smiled and told me, "I really like your eyes. They're pretty." He paused and then finished with, "They really help your face." FML
Today, my boyfriend and I were cuddling in bed. After looking at me for a while he said, "you look better when I'm not wearing my contacts". FML
Today, I got all dressed up to go on a date with a guy. Upon getting to my house to pick me up, he told me he'd forgot to put on mascara, and asked if he could borrow some. FML
Today, I got stressed and well, let's just say I got carried away, pulled off most of my eyelashes on one eye, and now I have to find falsies that look real. FML
Today, my boyfriend gushed for several minutes about how amazing it is that I suddenly look hot when he takes his glasses off. FML
Today, my boyfriend asked me if I wear makeup much. Expecting him to say something about my natural beauty, I replied with an honest, "No." His smiled softly, gently squeezed my shoulder, and said, "Maybe you should." FML
Today, I was tinting my own eyelashes when I missed my eyelashes and stabbed myself in the eye with the applicator loaded with dye. Now, I have beautiful lush black eyelashes, to match my half-closed swollen red left eye. Sexy. FML
Today, I was romantically cuddling with my boyfriend. He looked deep into my eyes, stared lovingly at me, and said, "I never noticed, but you have the most adorable freckles on your face..." Blushing, I tilted my head to the side. He then said, "Oh, never mind, those are just your blackheads." FML

Unless he thought it should look like that (maybe he really doesn’t understand makeup), he could have told you earlier and spared you the embarrassment. It would have been kinder and more respectful. If it’s been hours, you may sadly have encountered a lot of people who had a laugh at your expense. Don’t care about them. Cheer up! The important part was that you felt beautiful and had a good time.

This is why you don't bother with cosmetic crap like fake lashes. If he's your boyfriend, I'm sure he's used to seeing you without them, so leave it that way. People should see the real you, anyway, not who you're pretending to be with makeup and other embellishments.

Unless he thought it should look like that (maybe he really doesn’t understand makeup), he could have told you earlier and spared you the embarrassment. It would have been kinder and more respectful. If it’s been hours, you may sadly have encountered a lot of people who had a laugh at your expense. Don’t care about them. Cheer up! This is why you don't bother with cosmetic crap like fake lashes. If he's your boyfriend, I'm sure he's used to seeing you without them, so leave it that way. People should see the real you, anyway, not who you're pretending to be with makeup and other embellishments.
