Today, my wife has declared that, unless our son has finished his homework, I'm not to watch TV, play video games, read, use my phone, cook, or go outside, lest I "tempt him" to leave his work unfinished. Guess I'll just stare at the wall all afternoon. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I learned that my wife lets our son play video games while I'm at work to "keep him out of her hair." We had agreed that he was forbidden from gaming until his grades came up, but apparently she can't be bothered to actually parent. FML
Today, my wife whined that she couldn't sleep, while she had her eyes glued to her phone, her Switch in her lap, the TV on, and her bedside light shining in her face. I've long since learned not to comment on this. FML
Today, my wife can't be bothered to do anything that isn't work, talk about her work, and sit on the sofa. Then she complains that I don't show any affection, when she can be bothered to even talk to me. FML
Today, I can't sit down for a book or some TV without my wife coming up and moaning at me to "get a hobby, get out of the house once in a while, you never do anything anymore." I have a healthy, balanced social life, but maybe I want to relax in my own house for once. FML
Today, my wife is mad at me because she claims I don’t spend any time bonding with her son. It’s as though she refuses to understand that just because we are in different rooms, on separate PlayStations, doesn’t mean we’re not playing the same game, and talking through headphones for hours at a time. FML
Today, when I had a go at my husband for spending way too much time in front of the TV, he pointed the remote control at me while miming turning down the volume in order to make me shut up. FML
Today, my girlfriend is at work, leaving me with her needy son again. If I don't play with him, he cries and throws a fit. If I don't clean the house, she will cry and throw a fit when she gets home. FML
Today, I discovered my husband and kids wait until I’m out of the house before doing fun activities like water fights, board games, Xbox sessions, football, and the like. Apparently I’m such a buzzkill and moody sore loser, they can only have fun without me around. FML
Today, my wife refuses to let me play my Xbox, except at the weekends, because it’s "a childish waste of time" and "we need to spend more time together", yet when we’re together she has no problem spending hours on games on her phone. No, she does not see the irony in this either. FML
Today, my wife screamed, cried, called me lazy and a bad parent, and threatened to leave and take our four kids. All I did was ask for an hour to myself every day for some private time. FML

Let me guess - Wife has things that she does and this doesn’t apply to her somehow… While I understand the concept of not tempting son to waste time on other things instead of doing his homework, Dad isn’t the one in school with homework. And presumably he did his job today so he’s not being”punished”… Personally when I was growing up, I did my homework early in the afternoon before my Dad got home from work. And I did my homework myself without requiring help - That’s how it’s supposed to be designed for learning. Occasionally there are special projects that I can see require adult help, but those should be rare… My adoptive son was diagnosed with ADD and he required intervention to do his work. His mother did most of that and Son neither appreciated the work she did nor did he learn the lessons his homework was supposed to teach him. It was a terrible mess! I truly don’t know how to best help a child with learning or behavioral disabilities. (My daughter was much more like me.) I believe that for most children in the “normal range” the best way to handle school and homework is to keep an eye on what is going on - Is the work getting done, is the child learning? And encourage as needed and have consequences when necessary - Not to do their work for them or punish Dad for the Son’s poor school performance.
