Nice girl

Today, at the grocery store, an elderly woman asked for help with some tea. I lent her a hand, spending a good twenty minutes reading different labels out loud until she found one she liked. After she was done, she handed me a pamphlet and said, "You're a nice girl. I hope you don't go to hell." FML

She was just looking out for you OP! At least she didn't call you ugly like most FML old people would.

better than the old ladies that damn you to hell and was nice to just give you a pamphlet rather than try to push her beliefs on you.

Well, she didn't tell you to go to hell, that's something.

At least she wasn't as rude as some of the other old people on FML. She could've been worse and given you a religion lecture. And she essentially meant good and recognized you as a really nice person.

I would take that as a compliment, she wasn't mean

You got Jehovah'd

I believe that JW don't believe in "hell". If you're not one of the anointed ones to resurrect and live on the new Earth, you just stop existing.

Tell her she'll experience hell long before you will.

Was this rude in any way? Would you perfered her to say, " you seem like a nice person, go burn in hell for eternity. " I for one, wouldnt wish that upon anyone.

I wanna know what was in the packet

When I'm old I'm going to hand out pamphlets to people and say "I hope you don't believe in the fairytales called religion." I'd also like to point out that the Pope said that even if you don't believe in God that you can still get into heaven if you live a moral life.

So you spent 20 minutes helping her pick out a tea and then she complimented you? YDI. Good on you!
