Method

Today, my 13 year-old son had a seizure in the middle of his history class. We were at the hospital for three hours and several expensive tests later he informed me he faked the seizure so he could get out of a group presentation. He was so proud that he was such a good actor. FML

Collection

Halloween

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.

Same thing different taste

Take that money spent out of any gifts/allowances he was going to get in any future holiday or birthday. Maybe that will teach him not to do something so serious.

I'm not even going to lie, that's pretty impressive.

if you sound it out from how it's spelled, nackt and Nacht, it is an easy mistake

I think you're on the wrong post

There is the possibility that he has anxiety about speaking which is why he went to such measures, but if he didn't mind faking a seizure in front of everyone, he might not be nervous about performing.

Me being epileptic I can tell you it's very serious. It's a nightmare that brings insane pain to you after you get out of the seizure.

Sell all of his stuff. Make him slowly pay everything back

this is horrendous. trying to get out of something is cheeky, but pretending to seizure is disgraceful. you should certainty not encourage this behaviour dispite people commenting praise. this would be a whole other story if that seizure was real and it would not be a good one.

Send your son the bill. Though I once faked a migraine headache, doctors appointments and all cause I got caught leaving school early and had to come up with some story to save my neck.

It is never ok to fake a seizure. It really bugs me to hear of people to fake seizures and think its ok to do.

Add on to my comment: As someone with seizures, I know the horrors the come with seizures and the fear of not knowing what has happend while you are in a post seizure state. Im sorry but he really needs to learn a lesson on why it is never ok to fake a seizure or any serious medical condition.

wauw thats pretty extreme

Looks like he 'seized' the moment.

Make that little shitball to give a presentation on "how to fake a seizure to get out of a presentation", he must be proud of that afterwards
