Kids can be a dealbreaker
Today, the new guy at work who’s been flirting with me outrageously found out I’m newly-divorced, with a baby daughter. He ghosted me so fast and started outrageously flirting with someone else in our office, who by the way he checked to make sure she doesn’t have kids first. FML

Unfortunately having kids from a previous relationship is a downside for a lot of men (and women too). It puts a lot more stress on an early relationship. As a man married to my wonderful wife who has a kid from a previous marriage, her having a kid was a major thing, because it meant that if the relationship were to become serious, I had to be ready to be a father (his dad isn't in the picture and I'm the father figure). When we first met, I wasn't interested because I was in my early 20's and nowhere near ready for that. When we met up several years later, and my life was in a different spot, it was less of an issue.

While you can't hold it against him that he wants to remain childfree, he could have been an adult about breaking it off with you. You dodged that manchild's bullet.

Agreed. He could have behaved better and just said, "Hey I'm not looking to date someone with kids right now," but there's nothing wrong with not wanting kids, whether they're your own or not.

So, the sexual-harassment-suit-waiting-to-happen is going after someone else? I don't see the problem.
