I don't think it was the actual act of eating an insect. Lots of people do that. I know you can buy them in lollipops, fried, covered in chocolate...you get the idea. I think OP was pointing out the fact that the woman was right outside a store, which most likely had some sort of food product, and chose to eat a bug that may have been on her windshield for days. I don't know about you, but I choose not to eat smashed-to-a-pulp aged insect. Just sayin'.

I'd think that if she were a bug connoisseur, she'd immediately notice fresh kill on her windshield. I could fault her for eating it raw when bugs are so much better sautéed in garlic butter.

Or she may have been actively bug hunting. I wouldn't be surprised if she's mapped out all the insect migrations within a fifty mile radius. I'm sure she speeds down the road at 100+ mph trying to catch as many bugs as she can on her windshield.

#51, I was going to guess that she wasn't a customer of the store at all, but excitedly pulled into the store lot just after a successful splat. I've heard bugs are particularly enjoyable if their legs are still kicking as you swallow them. A friend of mine said so . . . yeah, that's it.

#61: Only if you have soy sauce. I'll supply the soy sauce, you get the bugs.

Watching someone eat an insect is not the least bit troubling to you? To qualify as an FML, it doesn't have to be like having a death squad murder your entire family.
