Inflation woes
Today, after I got a great job at my asking salary, my boss then quit without telling me my salary was maxed out. I learned this when, two years in a row, I got a 1% raise because I'm redlined. With inflation, my take-home pay has dropped by 15% in two years. FML

Go job-hunting. See what the absolute highest rate you get offered is. If it’s higher than what you’re earning now, either go to your boss and let them counter-offer or go ahead and leave. If they can’t afford to give their employees fair wages then they don’t deserve them.

At some point many of us hit the limits of our salary range. There are only two practical solutions. Either you look for another job or you talk to your (current) boss about what it will take to get into the next pay grade. As long as you keep it positive (how can I be more valuable to the company, as opposed to just complaining about the situation) there is nothing to lose - And it might even help you when you ultimately find a better job.

Take your skills somewhere where they'll be valued at what they're worth again. You were looking for a job when you found this one, after all - And for the time being you at least have the buffer of your current salary while you search. If these guys gave you the salary you sought back then, presumably, now with it being a job-seekers' market, there's no reason to doubt you won't eventually find someone who will give you what you're asking to do what you do (or something similar enough).
