Today, my sister-in-law had the nerve to hijack my baby shower to announce her pregnancy. It's all the more infuriating because we later found out that she's NOT pregnant, just a fucking attention whore. FML
Today, I was yelled at and humiliated by my otherwise awesome brother-in-law for my supposed lack of effort in the planning of a baby shower for my very pregnant sister. The kicker? Her huge, break-my-bank semi-surprise baby shower has been in the works for a month, and is happening this weekend. FML
Today, my sister announced her pregnancy at my husband's funeral. FML
Today, my best friend told me that I wasn't invited to her wedding, saying that I was too pretty and that I would outshine her at the ceremony. I laughed and said that she was being ridiculous. She eventually confessed the real reason why I wasn't invited: apparently I'm an annoying bitch. FML
Today, while looking through the newspaper, I saw that my sister got married a couple weeks ago. Not only did she not invite me, she "forgot" to mention it yesterday while we were having lunch. FML
Today, my sister backed out of my wedding because it was becoming too much about me. After I begged her to reconsider, I had no choice but to pick a new bridesmaid. When my new bridesmaid posted on Facebook how excited she was, my sister commented, "See, you made HER feel special." FML
Today, my attention-seeking sister-in-law came to my 20 week ultrasound and afterward, without my knowledge, took it upon herself to announce the gender to Facebook and call the entire family, telling them "we're having a boy" nullifying any need for the announcement I had spent 4 weeks planning. FML
Today, my future sister-in-law, who hasn’t even been engaged a week, informed everyone that the wedding is on December 19th, which is the due date of my first child. My brother won’t change the date and is making my family choose between his wedding or being at the hospital with me. FML
Today, I drove 2 hours to my sister's wedding, only to find out my invitation was sent to me by mistake. She had me kicked out. FML
Today, one of my closest friends informed me that she wasn't going to invite me to her wedding, because I'm too shy and not enough fun, and she doesn't want her 200 or so guests to feel uncomfortable. I was the one who set the happy couple up. FML

I agree with #62. My mom says that at her rehearsal dinner, her sister announced that she had just got engaged and at the wedding reception her sister in law announced that she was pregnant. In her head, she knew it was a convenient time because all the family was together but, coming from a large family, she just wanted one day where she was special.

I don't understand why some people require EVERYONE to be at their constant beckon for a congrats with a wedding. I understand its a huge deal. I don't understand why it requires everyone to be waiting on them hand and feet before, during, and a month after the wedding.

35: my best friend's ex sister-in-law was one of those attention-*****, batshit-crazy brides...at their wedding, not only did she pass out pictures of herself to all the guests (without the groom in any of the pictures), she went up to their wedding cake and took the groom piece off and threw it in the trash.

What does liking my little pony have to do with being whipped and/or a pussy? It's actually a pretty entertaining show, written with a lot of adult humour so that parents can enjoy watching along with their kids. It's got a big following for a reason - it's a good show. I don't really fall into either category, but I don't criticize people based on what they like. Firstly, as for bronies that you think need psychiatric help. Why? If OP is a member of the church where the ceremony is taking place, then she DOES have the right to attend, as most churches will not refuse entry to parishioners, even during a wedding ceremony. We're getting married in my fiancee's church, and there are a bunch of regulars there that I do not want to see at my wedding, particularly the creepy bell-ringer guy who sends me books about cats (because he once overheard a conversation where I mentioned to someone that we had 2 cats) and who had an autographed sports jersey sent to me as a condolence present at my grandmother's funeral service, despite the fact that I've never once showed any interest in befriending this person. However, by the rules of the Anglican church, he could show up at our ceremony if he wants to. TL:DR Yes, OP can just show up if she wants.
