Today, I spoke to my hormonal pregnant wife about baby names. I told her I liked the name "Tabitha", and she went into a full rage about how all letters have textures, colours and emotions and how T is an evil letter. Apparently it's orange, plastic, and a needle trying to stab her eyes out. FML

Today, I got in a huge fight with my pregnant wife because I cannot consent to naming our future daughter Paprika. FML
Today, we got our daughter's birth certificate. Turns out my husband thought it would be funny to give her a middle name, which we never discussed, and he picked one to sound funny. Not actually going to tell the internet her name, but it’s as bad as calling a boy Ben Dover. I’m furious. FML
Today, me and my husband are having our first big marital argument. Our baby still doesn’t have a name, all because I want to call her a normal name and he wants to call her some obscure name from an anime he really likes. I’ve never seen him this stubborn about anything this stupid. FML
Today, on my shift as a nurse, I asked a pregnant woman what she would name her child. She said she saw the name "Chlamydia" on a billboard and decided to name her daughter that, saying it was "beautiful." I informed her that it was an STD, and she replied, "Oh, well no one knows that!" FML
Today, my French wife chose the name of our unborn baby girl. She wants to call her Fanny and won't change her mind. FML
Today, while picking names for our unborn daughter, my mom decided to help by providing a list of names she absolutely won’t accept because they’re all women she hates for insane reasons. It has over 300 common names on it. Every time we pick another name, boom, there it is on her damn list. FML
Today, I helped a lady give birth on the train. She was so happy she asked if she could name the baby after me, but as I told her my name she visibly turned her nose up at it, turned to her husband, and suggested naming it after his grandfather instead. FML
Today, at my cousin's baby shower, there was a discussion on what to name the baby. When the name Jacqueline was brought up, I made a face and exclaimed, "Ugh, I hate that name!" I was then informed that's the name of my cousin's mother-in-law. She definitely heard me. FML
Today, my wife told me she’s pregnant and we went through the whole range of emotions together, surprise, happiness, tears, anger, acceptance, you name it. An hour later she said she wanted to save the pregnancy test for memories. Guess she forgot her glasses, it very clearly says NOT pregnant. FML
Today, I gave a beautiful book of baby names to a friend of mine who's been trying to get pregnant for a while. She just burst into tears when she saw it. Just before meeting me, she'd found out she was sterile. FML

Awkward. My name is Tabitha. But I've never really liked it. When someone says my full name it sounds like I'm in trouble. But Tabs is a nice nickname. And dude, your wife has synesthesia.

She has graphite synesthesia. Ts ARE orange, smooth and pointy. To my knowledge , they have never poked anyone's eyes out tho.

OoOoOoOh 666 people think your life sucks. In all honesty, this seems like something you should go with. Once you find a name you both agree on, you'll be fine. I understand choosing your child's name is a big thing but I don't think she'll back down easy. Good luck.

You do know there are different levels to hormones, right? Everyone is effected by it differently. How do you expect everyone to handle pregnancy JUST like you? Besides, with your rage in your comment, you left no room during pregnancy to act like the way that you do now. What's your excuse?

Sounds like synesthesia. It's a disorder where your brain doesn't exactly fire things properly and signals get mixed up, therefore letters have colors or personalities, textures have tastes, etc. It could easily be brought on by her pregnancy if she's never had synesthesia before, and could probably also disappear after pregnancy.

Tabitha is not a cat name. Names can be on whatever face you choose. My cats name is Katie, doubt that's a "cat's name". I love the name btw, cute nickname could be Tabi :) I'm now considering the name for one of my future kids (daughter, of course)
