Today, I realized I married a jerk when my husband grounded his daughter for literally a whole year and completely stripped her room down to just a bed and bookshelf and dresser. What did she do? Kissed a boy. When I told him he was going too far, he told me to STFU and that she was his kid. FML

Well you have two options now. 1) divorce him, because I can only imagine what else he has said to you or the stepdaughter over the years,and he doesn’t consider your view at all when it comes to your stepdaughter, or 2) listen to him and butt out as he told you to. Me, I’m option 1, before I married my wife and blended our families, all the kids involved knew that each of us are to,be considered a parent to them and listened to.

Today, I experienced the fright of a lifetime when I woke up and heard my bedroom door opening. Fearing that there was an intruder, I picked up a bat and opened the door, ready to whack the mystery intruder. There was no one there. No one, except my cat, who apparently knows how to open doors now. FML
