Today, the day after my grandfather's funeral, my grandmother informed me I have 30 days to move out. I've been living with them for four years, helping take care of my sick grandfather. She's already changed the locks and won't unlock the door. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, my grandma moved in with us. Along with her 36-year-old boyfriend that none of us knew about. FML
Today, I found out that my grandparents are going to take my car away and sell it because they're pissed I'm moving in with my boyfriend. FML
Today, I got word that my aunt has dementia and will be moving into our big family estate. And just like with my grandpa, grandma, great-aunt, great-uncle, other grandma, father, and uncle, I will be expected to put my life on hold and be her primary caretaker. I never got my own life. FML
Today, my mom gave me thirty days notice to find an apartment and move out. Why? She's dating my former best friend and wants to move him in, but he won't do it until I'm gone because it would be "awkward." FML
Today, without telling me, my mom dropped me off at my grandmother's house, and drove off. Now I'm supposed to spend the next month with her. Guess she forgot my grandma died six weeks ago. FML
Today, my in-laws moved in. FML
Today, I came home from work to find my grandmother in my living room, demanding to know where I'd been all day. I'm 22 and live by myself. She stole my mother's emergency key to get in. FML
Today, my mother-in-maw informed us that she sold her house and is moving in with us so we'll "take care" of her in old age. She's in perfect health. We've only been married for 4 months. My wife can't stand her for more than 2 weeks at a time, let alone living with us. FML
Today, my mother-in-law told my fiancé that I had to leave and wasn’t allowed to live there anymore. I own the house. She’s mad because I locked the door so she couldn't walk in anytime she wanted. FML
Today, after moving hundreds of miles to take care of my beloved grandmother and working like mad for a week to make the house cozy and accessible for her, it was finally time to bring her home. Or it would have been, if she hadn’t died in her sleep last night. FML

That was an illegal eviction, in probably most if not all states you are considered a tenant even if you do not pay rent. While in some places a 30-day notice might be enough to remove you, she can not change the locks before then. If you need help would like to go to court over it contact a lawyer, if you cannot afford a lawyer contact legal aid in your area. If you would like further advice and have a reddit or would want one r/legaladvice deals with these issues almost daily.

Are you sure she didn't kill him as an excuse to get rid of you? Still, parents or parental figures who do this to their kids disgust me. It's one thing if you're 30+ years old and do nothing but play video games and don't work or try to get employment, but if you're actually trying and need some help, well, that's just heartless.

Can we hear Grandma's side of the story? Maybe this person was not very helpful in "taking care of Grandfather", and just added to Gramma's burden. I hope not, but we don't know.
