Get it!

Today, it was my first day closing alone at a pet store when a lady came in wanting to return a bird she bought months ago. Once I informed her there were no returns on livestock, she let the bird free and ran out the door, leaving me to catch it and explain to my manager where it came from. FML

Oh retail, how I hate thee.

At least she didn't try to return a dead bird?

Well I think that grandfather thinks she's evil for setting a bird free... The security cameras (if they're were any) should have picked up that footage of what happened...hope the bird didst keep you out too late...or for that matter make a mess of the store...but the plus side is you can probably re sell the bird hopefully to a better owner..,

Where did you get grandfather from?

It was a really bad attempt at referencing a past FML.

Well at least you guys made a 100% profit on the bird! Sell it again, then they'll want to return the bird, and so on and so on and so on. You and the bird could have a nice cash reward for this scheme.

So she didn't get her money back for the bird and gave it back to the store? How is that payback she just supported the store.

"Oh hi, boss. Where did this bird come from, you ask? Well, how do I explain this... Let's see... Uh... Ya see, when a mommy bird and a daddy bird love each other very much..."

Your manger? Isn't it a bit early to put out your Nativity Scene? Anyways, a plastic Baby Jesus isn't going to care where some random bird came from!

Trying WAY too hard, man...

This bird is no more!!!...

#31, no, 'e's resting! Norwegian Blue, beautiful plumage!

I guess OP shouldn't have nailed him to the perch a claimed that he was tired and shagged out from a long squawk. But maybe his brother in Bolton (or is it Ipswitch?) can replace the bird.

The joys of working in a pet shop!! I'm sure your manager will understand. Resell it for sure.
