Today, I had to explain to my grandfather that Canadians aren't evil by reminding him that he's Canadian. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Shitgibbon
Today, here in Canada, my father-in-law talked to me about how people who are "not Canadians" are destroying the country. He called me an "import" several times within the course of an hour. I've been a citizen for over twenty years. FML
What the…?
Today, because no one else was willing to, I had to explain to my uncle that he's white, that I'm not his grandfather, and that he's mentally challenged. FML
The clichés are real
Today, I've been living in Canada for past two years, and my friend from the States came to visit. He was talking about how Canadians are so polite, but I was in total denial, that he didn't know anything. While I was arguing with him, a guy in front of us walked into a pole, then apologized to it. FML
Today, I actually had to explain to two of my friends that neither Alaska nor Nebraska are in Canada. I think I need new friends. FML
Elaborate
Today, my Canadian friend is staying a few days at my parents' house. I drove him from the airport, only to find my idiot dad had decked the spare room out with maple syrup bottles. He keeps saying "Eh" all the time and asked "What's he so upset aboot?" when my friend was offended. FML
Today, my best friend called me a moron for disputing her belief that Canada is in South America. FML
Today, I had to explain to my grandmother why, "What a nice singing voice! He doesn't sound black at all!" is not a compliment. FML
Today, I had to slowly explain to my mother that Americans are not the only people who celebrate Christmas. FML
Overcompensating
Today, I had to drag my grandmother out of a store because she went up to a black family and started apologizing for slavery. FML
Today, my grandfather told me that I was ugly. When my mom found out, she said that, "Old people are allowed to tell the truth." FML

What if he is evil?

Bullshit, 34. I had friend who used to put maple syrup on everything. Slowly but surely he started transforming into a maple tree. First it was his arms that turned to tree limbs, that's when I tried getting him to stop, but he wouldn't. Then went his legs, and after a few months we had to plant him in his parents back yard. Yes, I do have a diabetic maple tree as a friend now.. Moral for the story is, don't eat too much maple syrup or you'll turn into a tree boys and girls.

How could your grandfather forget such a thing? Must've been a little awkward for him.

#6 if you give him canadian bacon, your logic will be destroyed...
Beepbeep7 14
It's bacon.Logic is not needed.
skilova4lifezzz 19
Have you never tasted canadian bacon?
DrownedMyFish 18
16, anything with "bacon" in the name is guaranteed to be delicious.
skilova4lifezzz 19
So no, you have not tried canadian "bacon".. Canadian bacon is basically burnt ham.

Mmmmmmm....back bacon.

Hey the only people who even eat Canadian Bacon are the people ordering Egg McMuffins, that's a fact, Jack!
MissMae93 23
Woah woah woah #35. I hate to burst your bubble, but if you think "burnt bacon" is "Canadian bacon", then you have not yet eaten Canadian bacon. It's the back bacon, cut thicker and usually is in a patty shape rather than strips. It could also be referring to peameal bacon. Sorry dude, you've been living a lie. And Canadian bacon is wonderful, just sayin'.

Hockey season is about to begin. He'll be ok when the games count for real. It's just an annual collective Canadian withdrawal symptom.
Axipiter 24
Oh thank God. I cannot wait. Off season sucks!

#8, every good Canadian knows that there are only two seasons; "Hockey Season" and "Not Hockey Season" If he doesn't know this, then he falls under the "Evil Canadian"
horneyhic 15
Actually it's hockey season and mosquito season

^This. I washed my jersey (and my dog's jersey) yesterday, they were packed away with my winter clothes. HOCKEY SEASON! YAY!

A true Canadian knows that August is the only "No hockey" month. And even then, you still have shinny!

If he's the reason for the lack or destruction of Twinkies in America, then yes he is evil.
MissMae93 23
I think it was more so the fact that over 1/3 of America's adult population are clinically obese. Canada really doesn't have much to do with that.
