File vs. Folder
Today, I accidentally deleted my landlord's pictures of his child's graduation, girlfriend, daughter, and vacation when he asked me to delete a video off his phone. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I created a shared album with over a 1000 pictures and videos from a romantic vacation with my girlfriend of 3 months. Later, I got an angry text from my ex. It seems I accidentally added everything to a shared work-related album with my ex, which I didn't realise I had. My ex thinks I did it on purpose. FML
Today, my husband accidentally erased some pictures from our hard drive. No worries, nothing major: just everything from our wedding and the birth of our first child. FML
Today, I was at a wedding. After videotaping the ceremony for a few minutes, my memory was full. I went to delete another video. I accidentally played the loudest video I had. No one was looking at the bride or groom anymore. FML
Today, I deleted a load of junk that was messing up my mother's computer. I don't know how I'm going to tell her I accidentally wiped out all of her wedding photos. FML
Today, I accidentally deleted my YouTube account because I was trying to eliminate distractions from school. My dumb self eventually realized all I had to do was stop uploading, and return to it during my vacation. FML
Today, my girlfriend went through my phone and computer and deleted all my videos and photos of my high school girlfriend, who died when she was only 16. Her excuse was that keeping those photos was emotional cheating. FML
Today, I replaced a usually fun collegue's picture of his kids with a picture of my face against glass, so it looked I was inside the screen. Everyone laughed, but he reported me because I tried to "erase his children" and "if anything happens to them" it's now my fault. FML
Today, I asked my boyfriend of several months to post a picture of us. He deleted his Facebook instead. FML
Today, I asked a woman to take a picture of me and my girlfriend kissing on the beach. When I looked up, the woman and my phone were gone. FML
Today, a teacher asked me to edit a video of her class. Unfamiliar with cameras that work with video tape, I accidentally recorded over her video. The footage is impossible for me to get back. FML

If pictures were stored in memory card then there's a chance it can be restored otherwise you're gonna need to find a new place. sorry op

That sucks. Hopefully there's a backup he can retrieve the pictures from.

Okay, if he has an iPhone: there's usually a folder for "recently deleted" pictures (I know it's in the 5s/ 6 for sure) and if not, iCloud storage usually keeps a good backup of that. If he's using an android, chances are that there's a way to get the memory card and retrieve any lost info. I haven't used an android phone for long so I really don't know what else to tell you, but look online and there's probably tons of people with the same problem.

"Sure I'll delete one video from your phone for you." *one* "Nope." *Two* "That wasn't it." *Three* "Crap." *Four* "How do you do this again?"

why couldn't he do it himself?

Every time I see this FML, I can't help but wonder "How?" I mean, I get accidentally deleting one of the above mentioned, but all of them? What did you do?

And that's why you use iCloud.

I just have to ask why you had the phone to begin with. If they wanted something deleted, they should do it themselves
