Today, and for months now, the meds that stop me from killing myself have killed my sex drive. My boyfriend, being stressed at work, initially assured me that his was also non existent and not to worry. I found out he's been wanking every day and hiding it from me so I don't feel bad. Today, it's been about a week since my boyfriend started his new medication, which has essentially killed any sex drive he had. It has also been about two weeks since I stopped mine, making me hornier than ever. FML

Today, and for the past year, I’ve been losing a custody battle with my ex, I got put on medication that makes me feel dead, and I just found out my current boyfriend, who I’ve been dating for 3 years, has been cheating for months with girls I told him I didn’t have a good feeling about. FML
Today, I realized how bad my depression has gotten when I caught myself fantasizing about suicide while having sex with my husband. FML
Today, my boyfriend got a raging boner while looking around at a gun store. He hasn't had any sexual interest in me in months. FML
Today, I realized that going back on birth control has made my acne go away and my boobs bigger. However, to my boyfriend's dismay, I've completely lost my sex drive. FML
Today, I have an incredibly high sex drive. My boyfriend doesn't. He made me throw away my, rarely used, sex toys because he's jealous of them. I wouldn't need them if we had sex more. FML

don't feel awful, this is just one of those things...my doctor said the one pill I'm on, (sertraline if you're wondering, I probably spelled it wrong though) has success with sex drive if you give it time, ive been taking them for a few months now and definitely notice that I'm able to get horny more often than when I first started. TMI I know but I really hope this helps. also, your boyfriend is sweet because I know plenty of guys who wouldn't be able to keep their mouths shut and would be upset with you for not putting out. I think he genuinely understands and didn't want to add more pressure on you so he told a little white lie. just hang in there, shit will get better over time

So, even tho your sex drive is dead, you could try and entertain your partner. As long as you consent to this, you should be okay and you may find you get totally into it your self. I have been there with meds before so I know it’s hard. Either way you guys have to have an honest talk.

I completely understand. Two words: ********. Even if you don’t want sex you can please your partner at least. But if it’s one of those things where even that isn’t appealing then talk to you doctor about your medication.

yeah but it's not like it's her fault she's not in the mood, obviously she's mentioned her lack of sex drive to her partner so I'm assuming not to make her feel bad he said he doesn't have a drive either while yeah maybe he shouldn't have lied about that I feel like it was harmless and he was just trying not to make her feel obligated to **** him when she really wasnt up for it

At least he's wanking and being supportive of your needs (or lack of) rather than pressuring you or going off and shagging around. Plenty of people here have suggested hand jobs etc. as a way around this and it could be a legit answer. Just because you're not in the mood for sex doesn't mean that bringing him pleasure won't make you feel good, hell it might even turn you on!
