Today, my husband was offered, and accepted, pain relief during an ultrasound on his scrotum, and I’m sat here remembering how I wasn’t offered any pain relief at all while birthing a 9lb baby, because I was left in the waiting room so long they told me it was too late for an epidural. FML

Today, during the birth of my first child, my epidural didn't work. FML
Today, I went and had my first ultrasound done. My husband said he had a meeting at work, and couldn't come. As I was leaving, I saw him at the doctor's office with another heavily pregnant woman. FML
Today, I found out that my unborn son has an abnormally large head. I have an abnormally small and narrow pelvis, and I'm allergic to local anesthetic, so no epidural or spinal for me. FML
Today, I gave birth to a baby girl. Where was my husband after the agony finally ended? Standing just outside the room, flirting with a nurse. FML
Today, my wife was in seemingly never-ending labor. It got so bad, I overheard a nurse in the doorway mutter to a coworker that she hoped my baby would just die or something, so she could finally go take a smoke break. FML
Today, I'm found out I'm pregnant. My husband and I spoke at length about how we were going to handle things, which included him "forbidding" me from having an epidural, because he doesn't want our baby to "come out addicted to drugs." FML
Today, I had lower lumbar back surgery. I'm in horrible pain, my kids are wedged up my butt even though my husband is home, and I've heard nothing from friends or family, not even a check-in to see how it went. FML
Today, my water broke. Due to Covid-19, we couldn't go straight to labor and delivery, so had to go to the emergency room and wait to be taken up. I sat there for an hour with a ruptured sac and contractions. FML
Today, I asked my boyfriend if he wanted to be in the room whilst I gave birth. He offered to wait in the waiting room, but only if I gave birth on a weekend, and if it was a weekday he’d be too busy at work. I reproduced with this guy, and this isn’t the meanest thing he’s ever said to me. FML
Today, I gave birth, but my husband was late and got here just in time to cut the cord. He was hung over after celebrating his impending fatherhood all night. He missed the cord twice, cut it, then fell over, and wound up in the bed next to mine, with a hydrating IV and a bashed head where he hit it on the baby's cot. FML

they rarely give women any type of pain meds for anything we go through. not even the iud insertion,removal or the tests that take chunks out. it's aweful but for some reason we don't need any pain relief

Rarely give any type of pain meds for anything women go through? What? I once was listening to a very liberal radio station trying their best to make women sound oppressed. They said that women seek healthcare more often than men and are offered prescriptions more often than men. They were saying this as if it was a bad thing but if the opposite was true they would have said that was bad as well. SMH

That is really untrue. Doctors don't give woman pain relievers, nor do they take their symptoms seriously. I was never offered any pain relief for my iud, nor for a liver biopsy, nor for tissue removal in my cervix to test for cancer.

Pain meds are routine for childbirth. There is a window for the ideal time to administer them. It sounds like you are comparing 2 non related medical procedures and saying that because you missed the window on yours he shouldn't be offered pain meds. Maybe he should accept the pain meds because one time a long time ago you missed out on the opportunity to have some. That's not what you are saying right, because that would be stupid. I have had a testicular examination (not ultrasound). It was not painful but it was for testicular pain. I can imagine if he is in pain he may want some medication.
