Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I was accused of being a "racist whore" at work. I'd only asked a man if he needed help finding anything, as that is part of my job. FML
Today, my boss sent me home from work because she saw me not checking under my customer's cart to see if they had any hidden groceries. I didn't check because the customer threatened to "kick my ass" if I "accused him of stealing" by checking. FML
Today, I was shopping at a store from which I had previously bought a shirt. The clerk accused me of trying to steal my own shirt and called security. They examined it and argued with me for so long I was late to work. FML
Today, my sister got me in deep trouble at the store I worked security for. She "dropped by to say hi" and stole a bunch of things when I wasn't looking. I wasn't arrested, due to lack of any evidence. But my boss didn't care about evidence and fired me anyway. FML
Today, while bagging my groceries at a store, a lady came over to me, took a good look at the food I'd bought, picked out an item and put it in her bag. When I confronted her, she called security on me and told them I wanted to steal her stuff. I got thrown out and she walked away with a smirk. FML
Today, I arrived at work, only to be arrested and accused of stealing over $8000 from my job. Five hours later at the police station, the discovery was made that the actual thief had an employee ID one digit different than mine. He works at another location over 1200 miles away. FML
Today, at work, somebody stole my sunglasses. Fed up with the constant theft in my office, I stormed up to my boss, as he had long ago promised to catch the thief. He listened patiently to my rant before pointing out that my sunglasses were on my head. FML
Today, I got a talking-to at work from my new manager for eating other peoples' lunches. Immediately afterwards, I watched my manager leave the room, take MY lunch, and begin eating it. Apparently my new manager is the thief, and I'm now the office pariah who gets the blame. Nobody believes me. FML
Today, my coworker and I were swamped with coffee orders. I told him I would "take care of the blacks", and a customer who only heard that sentence screamed at me for several minutes about racism. FML
Today, while I was home sick from work, my neighbor got packages delivered. Our apartments have had a lot of thefts lately so, being neighborly, I brought her stuff inside to wait. When she came home, I gave them right to her. Instead of thanking me, she told the office that I was the thief all along. FML

"Correct, stereotypes don't just make themselves. Racist assholes like you do." Then walk away.

Nope, idiots have that part covered.

So stupid. Smh at this woman. Report her to HR immediately.
Lalala579121 28
Not sure if you're taking about the idiots who act into the stereotypes or the idiots who enforce them. I guess both.
GavinoFreedom 20
Slap a bitch, you've got good reason.
anythingrandom 23
is she blonde? you could have asked her that^
OSMC 10
stereotypes do make themselves in the case of blondes
CharismaGeek 19
Why would he have to ask her? Hell, HE'S LOOKING AT THE GIRL EVERY DAY.
tigerisabelle 31
Racists are the absolute worst kind of people. Rise above, OP - she's not worth even a second of your precious time.
ImmortalSyn 17
Actually the best thing to do is go to HR. That's racism and no decent company should put up with employees like that.

well i wouldn't say worse, people like Hitler who kill people who aren't what they picture as the master race. now those are horrible people.
SnowxSakura 17
Hitler was a racist too. What part of master race did you not understand?

and yet another stereotype. you think the KKK isn't anywhere else except in the south?
mattzawesome 28
Doesn't sound like a kkk incident. Sounds like a racist southern state incident which is quite common....
jonomc 12
And u have definitive proof of this fact? You have the statistics? There was a test of this done and it was proven that this area is more racist than the average of the other parts of America? Or, are you being racist to people from the South of USA? Racism has many forms. All of them bred from ignorance.
Arwen_Evenstar 37
Good to see the South of the USA is living up to its' stereotypes.
boating_guy 33
You're not much better than the racist in OP's post if you're generalizing an entire region due to the actions of smaller areas
R3TROxLOV3 32
49, the south IS known for racism more than any other region. It's not something that's made up. The south has a race issue. The south is also more known for homophobia. Stating this doesn't make it mean, nor does it make the person pointing it out a bad person. It just means that they're more vocal about their intolerance in the south, and people have noticed it.
Lalala579121 28
49, It'd only have been as bad as the coworker if 9 said that everyone in the south was like that. But they didn't.
HylianWarrior 21
49 it's not at all the same thing. 9 is simply stating that there is a stereotype that the coworker in the FML is enforcing. In the coworkers case she judged an individual based off of stereotypes and his appearance. Stating that someone fits a terrible stereotype is far from judging people based off of a stereotype.
Sp4wn 17
You should have a talk with her OP. Hopefully you can solve the problem. Racist co-workers are the worst.
countryb_cth 38
Talking to the coworker probably wouldn't do much since most racists believe they're right. The best thing OP could do is go talk to HR and let them handle it
anythingrandom 23
don't pay attention to it firstly, I agree that she is wrong. secondly, people say stuff they don't want to when they are angry/tensed.
dabaerju 23
So I guess when I'm angry and I say "I'll stab you in the throat so that you'll bleed to death and can no longer breathe you bitch!" is no big of a deal. I see.
