Today, I had to face the fact that although I’ve been married for almost 2 years, my dream girl has come into my life and wants a relationship. I don’t know how to break it off with my wife. FML

Today, I woke up realizing my wife of less than a year of marriage wants a divorce. We have known each other for 15 years. FML
Today, the girl I've had several passionate encounters over the past few weeks admitted we cannot entirely be together as she is married. She wants to make it work with me but cannot divorce as she would lose her visa. FML
Today, my wife has been trying to talk our daughter out of getting married, because it would be throwing her life away when she’s so young, and it would make her miserable in the long run. It’s getting a little hard not to take it personally since we’ve been married for over 30 years. FML
Today, my current wife left me for my ex-wife. FML
Today, a girl that I've been falling for told me that she's married. But not to worry, that "won't get in the way of 'us'." FML
Today, the girl of my dreams rejected my advances once again. This is a girl who’s had her heart broken over and over again by cheaters and abusers. She can’t even recognize something great, even if it’s staring at her in the face. What do I have to do to end her vicious cycle of endless heartbreak? FML
Today, I told my wife I wanted a divorce. I haven’t been in love with her for a long time and I've fallen in love with a girl at my job. When I told her this, she responded with, “No, fuck that, we're going to couples' therapy and you are gonna be a father to our kids!” I guess that’s a “No.” FML
Today, I proposed to my girlfriend but she refused. Why? Because instead of asking her, “Will you marry me?” I asked her to “be my wife.” She flew off the handle because “my wife” suggests she would be mine, like ownership, like domestic slavery. I don’t want to marry her anymore; she’s nuts. FML
Today, after my girlfriend telling me for years that she would marry me in a heartbeat, I finally proposed. She said no. FML
Today, I admitted to my best friend that I was having second thoughts about getting married and was probably going to break up with him. Unfortunately, my fiance's daughter, who I absolutely adore, overheard the conversation and threw a huge screaming tantrum asking why I didn't want to be her mommy anymore. FML

Three thoughts: 1. If you're going to do it, sooner is better than later. Don't waste your wife's time; give her time to start finding someone who appreciates her more than you do. 2. Your dream girl might not be all that you think she is, while you're idealizing her rather than living day-to-day reality with her. Definitely get to know her better before doing anything rash. 3. Consider polyamory, if your wife and dream girl are open to the idea. Learn about it first. Don't just jump into it. There's a lot to know, and you'll encounter new challenges in polyamory. (Then again, monogamy introduces challenges, such as having to choose between your dream girl and your wife.) Good luck to all of you.

it's 2022, banging more than 1 person is more acceptable these days. what isn't is cheating, and being a complete asshole. talk to your wife, maybe she is into the idea. if so, talk to the other woman together. I know a couple people playing 3rd in marriages and it worked out for each, because everyone was open and ok with it and boundaries were set. also as a side note, they all pay way less because everything is split 3 ways. but in your case the immediate thought to divorce at a mere chance is shitty, and you seem like a shitty person.

If she was really your "dream girl," she would have picked you a long time ago. Her first choice fell through and now you're her second. Don't throw away a (presumably) happy marriage unless you really don't love your wife anymore.

If you're not happy with your wife you should go for it. You don't owe your happiness to anyone and most people get married at least 3 times. This isn't a fairytale life is messy and sometimes you have Mrs Right and you have Mrs Right-for-now.
