Yeah... if you're an adult, wouldn't you know when your period's coming? Maybe should've thought of that before. Plus it'll be hard to have sex the night after the wedding if you have your period.
Do what I do: take birth control with no off week. It's awesome not having that time of the month. And no, there is no biological necessity for the menstrual cycle.
how the hell does anyone put YDI? we cant control when we get our periods!!!
For all those who are criticizing the OP for not wearing tampons, stop assuming that she wants to wear them. SOME people prefer to use pads over tampons and some people leak so much that wearing tampons just isn't an option. And whats the big deal about changing a pad, its almost the same as changing a diaper of a child; except the child is just your best friend (who you care about and love) Anyway, I hope you have a happy wedding and you'll have lots of opportunities to make up for tomorrow ;)
um boys, DONT COMMENT ON THIS BECAUSE YOU DONT UNDERSTAND. you should have used birth control. you should use a tampon instead of a pad...
Hey girl - I'm sorry to hear that. I swear to goodness, though, I'm not a salesperson, but go to softcup.com. It's a feminine hygiene product kind of like the diva cup, but you can have sex with it in. It's wonderful, albeit a little messy. It's also way more comfortable than a pad or tampon. They aren't cheap, but they're reasonably priced. Plus, you can wear them for a hella long time. Congratulations on your marriage anyway!
Thank you #258! These comments are ridiculous. You detractors out there are suffering from a serious case of "THE WORLD REVOLVES AROUND ME." Not all human beings are the same, not all women are the same, not all periods are the same... and thus, just because YOU like something or think something, does not mean that is the case for others. It's all been said before and isn't worth reiterating, but seriously -- to each woman her own. And also LOGIC FAIL to all the tampon proponents -- her friend still has to change it mid-wedding. Pad > tampon, if you're her BFF.
You can still have sex on your period. It's inconvenient, but it works. But yeah, like #71 said, don't look when he pulls out...

that's why you go on birth control so that you can use it to safely delay or skip your period. it's part of wedding planning 101.
It likes to come at the worst possible moments. This is going to sound gross but, if you and your new husband want to do the deed, use a female condom. And hey, at least you know your bestfriend is a true friend!
