YDI for obviously wearing something that was too casual for the workplace. I bet you're the kind of person who thinks leggings are the same thing as pants. I'd say you should take your boss's comment as a warning and step back and really evaluate your wardrobe in comparison to other co-workers. And don't get into any of that crap like, "I can dress however I want! Nobody can tell me what to do!" If you work in an office where a certain type of dress is required and if you want to eventually advance in that career path, your wardrobe needs to match the circumstances and your ambitions.
