Today, at my work in a self-service chinese restaurant, a lady came up to me, pointed to the plate she loaded with honey king prawns, and yelled at me because she was allergic to seafood. She demanded a refund and another plate. Everything is clearly labeled. FML

Repeat after me: People DON'T read! Customers especially. You can have HUGE signs with flashing lights and fog horns and they still won't read it.

You don't need to read to know prawns are seafood. I'm fairly sure she was trying to get free food.

People's* Sorry I just had to :( But I agree. People seem to lack so much common sense and decency. It's staggering. It's always someone else's fault.

I think it had more to do with her wanting a free meal than actually not reading the signs

Should've just stared at her like you were struggling to comprehend how stupid she was till she walked away.

even if she didn't read the sign, how could she not see she was putting prawns, a shellfish, onto her plate..?

anyone with a real allergy would know that 2 plates of food wouldn't be worth the EpiPen

The customer is not always right. I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. This qualifies as a good one.

Maybe she thought prawns were chess pieces? Like "knight to king prawn 4?"

What kind of restaurant serves ******* chess pieces?
