this has happened to me more than once the trick op is to wear a sexy bra all the time not only does it make you less self concious it makes you feel very naughty which gives you that umph to your confidence levels. prior to popular belief you can't always tell if a shirt is see through maybe she was under a light or something and it's not her fault she works with immature perverts who can't control themselves enough not to stare. op it's not a FYL it's a new casual Friday look.

Yes you can tell. There are shirts you can wear nude colored bras under and they still show through perfectly, even in dressing room lights. It's pretty obvious if you take the time to glance for half a second at the shirt you're buying. I personally check to make sure I can wear something in public without looking like a tramp before even buying it, and work attire takes even more discrimination.
Doesn't mean she's working with perverts at all (they were probably mocking her, not ogling her), just that she doesn't put any effort into looking remotely professional.

Hey, this is my FML. I was wearing a white shirt with a white bra. At home it looked totally fine, but under the florescent lights at school it was see-through.

I've done this a few times on accident ... sometimes a shirt isn't really see through until you get under the bright office lights, so yeah fyl... I feel your pain
Happened to me twice.
I went on a trip somewhere and it wasn't until after I saw the pictures that were taken that I noticed that my shirt was so see-thru that you could see both my bra and my stomach. Looks like it was one of those shirts that looks different according to lighting. Ugh so awful
WIN!!
And it really is suprisingly easy to make this mistake. I brought a dress that i thought was fine but when lighting was set so it was shining behind me the bottom frilly bit became quite see through :(.
Been there, done that. Went to a party in a see through shirt and, unfortunately a see thru bra underneath.....no one told me until I saw the pictures posted

YDI. See-through tops are always light and airy. They have to be, for obvious reasons. Even if the 'lighting' made the top seem opaque, sorry. Light and airy top = revealing outlines and exposing protrusions. It's meant to be porous and/or revealing, even when opaque.
To wear this type of garment to work and being oblivious to the nature of it... fail. When I intend on wearing slacks, I don't pick something that seems 'pant-ish.' Hard to pick a top for work, that 'seems not see-through' when, surprise surprise, it turns out to be completely see-through.
Fail.
