But OP should take a close look at their psychological state and relationships if a ficitonal death affects her that strongly. There was a 'sour pinata' in my garden, ruining things, so I decided to beat it within an inch of its life with the garden shovel. It layed there whimpering and in its death throes.....I sorta felt guilty, lol.

(0)I will get the feeling of sadness if the story viciously and/or realistically cuts off a character in an anime, manga, novel, movie, etc.

Babies do this all the time, that is cry so hard that they don't breathe. What you do is blow on their face, which startles them, causes them to inhale, and problem solved.
or you don't do that, they pass out and start breathing normally again, regaining conscious not long after.

(-1)I feel ya, I've cried over some deaths in anime before (also book characters) but never to that level or to the degree anyone else has noticed.
I hope it wasn't over the most recent Naruto chapter though - I never really liked that character. And I should point out that character might have regenerative abilities. Well we won't know for sure until next week.
(0)Sadly, crying over some cartoon isn't the real problem. Crying is a comfort, a way to relieve stress, a beautiful expression etc. The tragedy is wasting both EMS and ED resources for someone who is so desperate for attention they will cry until they supposedly "couldn't breathe." Go get a myspace and post pictures of someone pretty on your profile and pretend it's you; you'll get all the pathetic, depraved, endless amounts of attention you obviously seek. Loser.
